Cousins or Reke pick ! your opinion

Post#1 » by dozencousins » Sun Feb 13, 2011 6:46 pm

If all things considered and these 2 guys could not co exist who would you prefer to remain a King & who would you prefer to trade saying you had to trade 1 of them ?
Why would you trade the player you chose ?
Why do you prefer to keep the player you chose to keep ?
Which player do you see as being better for the Kings ?

This thread is not meant for creating a mutiny against one or the other etc. just to see how we all view who we believe is more valuable to us in our own opinions based on what these guys bring to the table .
Hopefully both in the end will co exist .

I think the best thing to do at this point is divide the fan base, in hopes it eventually divides the team, causing more drama surrounding the issue so eventually we drive both franchise players out of town.

Only the man known as "Pooh" will lead us to the promise land. Trade everyone and re-build around him

Ahem, with the right team around them, the right coach, and/or system in place both can not only co-exist but flourish. Here's looking at you Petrie

I Have an interesting Idea that prevents us from having to move either Tyreke or Cousins. I want to think about moving Tyeke to SF. It's a drastic move but I think it could be easily accomplished with out too much effort. Moving Tyreke to SF limits his ability to run the offense and instead just takes advantage of his ability to make some solid passes while looking to create for himself. On defense Tyreke will still guard the SG which will help to continue maximizing his effectiveness. To do this we need to accomplish two things.

1st We start Casspi or Garcia at the 2 guard spot and make it clear that they are to guard the small forwards but give them more responsibilities as far as scoring goes. Either guy should be pretty effective doing this.

2nd We draft or sign a PG this summer. At current rate we should be able to draft Krie Irving. All the teams at the top of the draft have more pressing needs than PG except the Raptors who would love to have irving. So I think landing Irving should be doable.

3rd and final thing we add smart stable vets and let guys like Landry and Dalembert go despite their talent. I could see us adding Barrea, Battier, and Nazr Mohammed. With these type of additions we should be able to help stabalize the locker room and provide smart play, not star players but smart role players will make the difference for this team.

My final Product looks a lot like this.

Irving/Udrih
Casspi/Garcia
Evans/Battier
Thompson/Greene
Cousins/Nazr

Still remarkably similar to our current team, but this version takes a lot of the decision making out of tyreke's hands, yes it makes him less effective but with this way he becomes like Andre Igoudala, not his maximum potential but the potential of this team should be higher with him not running the show all the time. He's still the 2nd option on offense but this keeps him from dominanting the ball so much and killing out offensive flow. And with a real PG running the show the kings should get many more easy looks for all of our spot up shooters/ slashers and guys posting up.

How about even better, they instill a system completely focused around Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins? Isn't that a shocker! hahahaha. That's how it should be. No more guard probing 3 out of 4 plays. Two for Cousins, two for Tyreke. Bet you anything we start winning.

Stupid decision, one problem does not constitute the end of a pair of 20 year olds.

Tyrke's 5 assist per game suggest that he does, too.

They are both terrible. They have a .483 ts% and .481 ts% and they are your leading scorers!? jesus christ no wonder the kings are terrible.
