I'm asking other players what they would do in Melo's shoes. So far, every player has texted that they wouldn't sign an extension with N.J.

Not even Nets players would sign the extension.

Smarten up Melo.

One of the players who texted him was Brook Lopez lol

As for meetings scheduled or unscheduled, it's all semantics. If 'Melo is ready to hear them out, they'll sit down.

This! Plus nobody's even mentioned the thinner air in Denver. They'll be less winded running our system.

its obvious ESPN hates the knicks, been like that for a while now

remember before the season started, the nets had all the assets and the knicks had trash

now the nets have like 14 wins. and the knicks have almost 30

Jon Barry likes the fact that Melo maybe will be a Nets-player

Al Ianazone is a nice guy, he actually did an article on me in 1995 when I played HS football in North Jersey.. I met him a few times.

But anyway, I feel like he went all in with this Melo situation, and he may come out of this losing credibility and looking foolish.

plus he won't get preferential treatment on the nuggets, if he plays bad there he goes to the bench. if he plays bad here, nothing happens because D'antoni loves him.

maybe thats the reason he's never jumped up to the next level here in NY.. he needs someone to set a fire under his ass and D'antoni wont do it

To respond to godshammgod (don't want to quote too many times, and of course anyone is free to respond), if Denver is really convinced as to how much Melo wants to sign the extension, why trade him in the first place? I mean, yeah yeah, I guess he's "unhappy", but if he really wants the extension that badly, you don't trade him, IMO.

So... if WC and Gallo get traded to Denver do we post links on the Denver forum to every Chandler VS Gallo thread that were on the forum?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

If Melo leaves the Billy Hunter meeting feeling ok about the next CBA, that bodes well for us. I'm not too optimistic about that, because NBA player agents have been pushing for union decertification (trashing Billy Hunter). They want Hunter out so they can take over the negotiations and play hardball with Stern.

I still think we're in the driver's seat for getting Melo.
