Says cavs are willing to take troy. Is this old? Or are they still talking with the nets too?

Ujiri didn't do ****, Melo was the one who played us.

He knew Melos lust for money (Same reason he signed longer term deal than Bosh, lbj, Wade), would eventually surface and he used him to leverage us out of players we should never have had to give up.

All Melo had to do was say no to Nets immediately instead of this "Time is money" shiiiit and we would of been able to keep at least one of Gallo or Chandler or even Felton.

Karl is going to turn Gallinari and Chandler (if he stays on Den) into something else watch

Not much different than Felton then...[/quote]

This is the difference , felton can stay on the court longer. Billups on this team means more PT for Toney Douglas..

I dont mind the deal if true. Hard to lose Gallinari and Chandler but glad Mozgov and Fields will remain.

Key is Billups being willing to play here....which if Melo has taught us anything...he will IF the Knicks pick up his option for next season.

If the Pistons and Hamilton agree to a buyout adding Rip would be the next step. Then proceed with bringing back Barron, maybe Telfair will be here too (in the Randolph to minny for 1st trade).

Maybe take a chance that Sean Williams has matured some and that with all the vets on the team hell be kept in line.

Do that and lets rock.

He's already shown to be the better player.

Gallo is a better shooter. Gonna be sad to see the rooster go.

How did MELO screw us? If some of you really think he was gonna come here via FA, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'm selling... The man wanted his cake & wanted to eat it too. Remember Denver re-engaged the NYETS, not Melo

Leaving us with a soon to be broken down Billups, no bench, and no salary cap space. This trade puts our ceilings at the ECF and it really didn't have to be that way if Melo manned up and said NY or bust. He would still be here at a much more palatable price.

We will be blowing up the squad for another round in the playoffs.

ECF ceiling would be nice. I think he just made us the new Hawks.

I still thing we rape denver in that trade.

Felton- We can replace with billups.. hes not better but he aint a bad starting PG
Gallo- It sucks that hes going, but Carmelo takes his place whats the argument?
Chandler- we wont be with his services for the rest of the season, but he was gone next season anyway.

I believe it is plain as day that Melo is not willing to take this to free agency. So that means we have to beat the Nets offer, otherwise the Nuggets tell Melo they couldn't get a deal done with us.

Basically, the Nuggets are now doing the Nets and Knicks dirty because Melo has made it clear he wants his scrilla.

we dont have to beat the nets offer clearly, cause we havent and its being considered.

and if thats the case and we're out of it, why wouldnt nj reduce their offer since then nj is in the driver seat?

i think melo would stay in denver versus going to nj

That outcome would not surprise me. If that deal goes through then you have to believe the Nuggets liked our guys a lot more than they were leading on. Or they know how to flip them for the pieces they really want.
Play time is over.

Sounds close.

Does anybody else think the Nyets will contract and disband if this trade goes through? They can turn the Barclays Center into a soup kitchen.

Idk, but he's averaged 20ppg 6apg and 4 rpg over the last 5 games. He's also shooting 44% from 3 this yr.
