Re: Moves the Bobcats should make
yeah, the Thunder's patience is pretty astounding. They only want to make a move if they feel very good about it. And if they *do* feel very good about it, they have the balls to make it even if the rest of the world thinks it's whack. Like Harden at #3. There was plenty of criticism over Green at #5 too.

Which makes him passable on a team that has two total studs like Westbrook and Durant, but on any other team I think he would be very "blah"

Reportedly the Nuggets are going to trade Murphy and at least one first rounder to a team yet to be announced if the melo deal goes through. I wonder who that team is.....

Probably to a team under the cap, so Denver get a TPE and more importantly get under the luxury tax.

Yeah, but who fits that build? Minny? Looks like NY might give up Felton, Gallinari, and Chandler plus a first from Minny for Randolph now. Billups/Fields/Melo/Stoudemire/Turiaf compared to Billups/Morrow/Melo/Humphries/Lopez. I would have to say NY if I'm Melo....

The perks of being UNDER the cap....I wish we could be there at somepoint.

Boris Diaw(notes), F, Charlotte Bobcats: Everything – and everyone – is on the table for the Bobcats. Charlotte would like to move Stephen Jackson(notes), but league source said the team hasn’t found a willing suitor. The Bobcats also have become more enamored with point guard D.J. Augustin(notes), whose play has improved under coach Paul Silas.
That leaves Diaw as a likely target. The steady play of veteran forward Eduardo Najera(notes) has made Diaw expendable. Diaw is making $9 million this season and has a player option for another $9 million.
“The Bobcats want to change their team a bit,” one NBA GM said.
Does this mean MJ thinks Hendo is the man at sg? Also if Diaw and Jax are moved, we better be bringing back some shooters.

you JUST beat me to it hotrod! This is very interesting, all along we have heard that there have been plenty of offers for Jax but Charlotte was unwilling to make a deal. Now we hear this...which is it? Can't be both.
I agree with two things. One, that Najera has played well enough to be servicable. I would be perfectly fine with Najera getting 30 minutes instead of Diaw in fact. So if Diaw can net u ssomething, even if that does mean Najera starting until Thomas is back, I am fine with that. Two, that this team needs a bit of a change. We are not playing terrible, but we need a move to put us over the edge into the playoffs. It has to be the right move though, we HAVE to be smart here. The wrong move here could set us back another couple years to building a consistent winner.

Re: Moves the Bobcats should make
I wonder if the demand for a first rounder being included in any deal for Jax is still on the table...we would need a scorer backk if we deal him.
I think that Orlando and New Orleans are the most logical fits out of all the playoffs teams for him. Obvouisly Dallas as well, but i'm assuming we don't want an expiring contrac tof a player that can't even play back...

So how does that work for the Hornets? David Stern calling the shots? No way Stern trades for Jax!

Haha! Yeah how does that work? Very strange situation with the Hornets...are they even allowed to make deals? This whole concept of the league owning a team just seems REALLY unfair to me...Then again if it limits what they can do, i guess it's unfair for them too.

Wouldn't it be funny if Jax gets traded to Sterns team and all of a sudden he starts getting good calls from the refs and never receives another tech for the rest of the season.

Lately? I would have to agree. Najera has brought better defense, better rebounding, and better energy to this team. He may not score in bunches, but Boris doesn't either. I think that what you loose in scoring from Boris, again not a whole lot to beign with, you gain in hustle, defense, and rebounding with Najera. Who do you think the coaching staff likes more? HAS to be Najera. He does everythign they want....

Re: Moves the Bobcats should make
^You really think Najera can keep this level? Really? No.
This team doesn't need anymore hustle. This team needs better ball movement and scoring. And I'm not worried about rebounding and defense because Crash and Kwame already grab 10rpg and as far as defense goes, Boris is the best man defender on this team.
There is a reason Najera has been a bench warmer throughout his whole career. He has 2-3 solid games and then continues to live up to his reputation as a scrub. You must be delusional if you think he could play 30minutes per game.

Najera has done nothing different with us that he has done his whole career. So it's really not "keeping up this level" of play. He just has not gotten minutes else where. He has always been a hustler, rebounder, and good defender. So, really? Yes, he can keep playing like he has his whole career.
From what i've seen, this team needs a TON more hustle. In fact, even the coaching staff came PUBLIC to call out Boris for lack of hustle and to say how much we need hustle. Lately Boris has barely been involved in the ball movement. The ball has moved just fine when Najera has been in the game instead of Diaw. I haven't noticed ANY difference in ball movement from when Diaw is in and when Najera is in. It's only when Livingston is in that ball movement is really affected.
No one is saying Najera will be an all star. He will be servicable. That's what i said. And you can name call all you want, but Najera is a guy i'm sure the coaching staff would be fine with over Diaw. So maybe the whole coachign staff is delusional as well. Maybe your the only one with brains...hmm..
