If you are ready to do the deal that we offered I don't see how Fields for Chandler changes anything. We are not going to have any real cap space this summer so we are going to be using the MLE, LLE and we can bring Chandler back with his bird's rights.

it kills our 2012 cap space, which while not enough for a max, may be enough for a real contributor. fields cap hold is nothing.

thats 35 minutes at SG that we can't replace!

thats not to difficult to understand

sure we can, I was told that chandler can play SG and that role players, like fields and gallo and chandler are easy to replace... so really, we can just go out and grab anyone to do what those guys do....

Cuban doesn't have Isiah Thomas whispering horrible advice in his ear, Dolan does.

That offer has to be our ceiling. No way are we throwing in more, Landry would be a huge mistake.

How about Melo requesting meeting with Dolan? :D Maybe Carmelo was getting annoyed with DW?

This hasbeen discussed ad-nauseum, an extended Melo, Amare, and cap holds take up 47 Million in salary. We will have traded all of our assets away. Now please tell me how you expect to sign another star?

A source close to the negotiations remained hopeful that a deal would be agreed upon but added that "both sides refuse to budge," which indicates that Denver may want Fields or rookie center Timofey Mozgov included in the deal. The Knicks would also acquire point guard Chauncey Billups as well as other players, including Anthony Carter, to satisfy salary-cap guidelines.

Since you guys want to throw in Gallo, why not do Fields too. I mean it's basically Fields for Melo then, who wouldn't do that? I said it when I first heard it, I'll say it again. This is a colossally poor deal. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees it that way. -Jitpal

Giving up Fields and Gallo, along with Chandler already being gone means we have no assets to trade for a CP3. The Hornets are not going to let him walk away with nothing.

If the Knicks end up giving up BOTH Gallo and Fields, they will have also given me up as a fan.

Why can't Melo be doing that to make sure the Knicks have something on the table so he can hold Denver to it and tell them 'take this or i'm a FA' ? Still make him a bad guy?

+100 and Moz as well

People can like certain players, but some of you are getting ridiculous in your professions for these guys in their final hours.

All I ask from fellow Knick fans is to allow me this time to vent. If I eventually have to cheer for this b*tch, I have to get all the hate out of my heart right now.

Don't judge me.

Are you committed to us Melo? Because it seems you only care about Melo right now.

I'm sorry but your not making much sense here. Why can't he have his money and play for the Knicks? He shouldn't have to sacrifice a cent if the Knicks really want him what's the issue?

As TKF said we are buying at 2006 prices when everybody else is buying short sales. We are not going to have enough cap space in 2012 because Amar'e and Melo will be eating that up.

I'd counter you can have Fields + Douglas but no Chandler & Felton/Billups swap.
Play time is over.
