It seems as if one facet of your flipping out is the inability tonight to differentiate between giving up a lot and having no limits.

PLEASE GOD....let Denver refuse the offer. Gallo, Felton & Chandler? Billups doesn't have much left in him. That's too much man....too damn much.

Please remember that Billups still has game. Melo will take much pressure off of the rookies and his shoulders are definitely big enough. We still have Douglas, Walker, Ronnie and Williams on the bench. Plus who ever else Denver sends over. This team is not nearly as "GUTTED" as some claim it will be. We still have plenty of youth and 2 players that are at the pentacle of their positions. The Sun will rise tomorrow and I'll take my chances with Melo, gladly.

I agree, the bench is virtually intact, and the starting lineup improved.

Hard to ask for more than that.

W/ A'mare, Melo, Mozgov, Fields, Douglas, a 2011 first round pick under contract, and the neccessary cap holds for being under 12 players we'd have about 50 million committed. Right now that would be 50 mil committed. That obviously won't be enough for a max, but good enough to land a very good PG. If Max contracts get rolled back enough, CP3 may think it's worth it to sign for less.

Right. And what I'm upset about is that the I-hole is advising the D-hole, and that I've been obsessing about a team with an owner dumber than a rock, and more naive than any of Madoff's victims.

I guarantee half of the people wouldn't be nearly as panicked if it were Fields in the deal instead of Gallo....It ain't about giving up too much, because any bball person would know the skill we'd be getting is worth it... it's about people not wanting to see their home grown boy Gallo leave, especially if it could have been done with out him... it's exactly as we say it is.

I'm a big Gallo fan, and my position is basically, we should make sure we keep Mozgov and one of Fields or Gallo. I'd be pleased to keep Fields because of his poise and the fact that I think he'd fit in well, and I'd be pleased to keep Gallo because I think he has huge potential etc. I would NOT include both Fields and Gallo.

And i'd agree with that. That is a rational mentality. Chandler Felton Gallo is a spendy deal, but it's worth it.... we'll have Moz, and we'll have Fields as you say, in addition to Melo and Amare, more than enough moving forward and more than enough to make it worth it.

No worries. We can get some dime a dozen role players off the scrap heap to fill in. Isiah/Dolan just need to get the deal done. -Jitpal

Jeffries will probably be bought out, Marbury is a FA, Curry is still on the team, Crawford is an expiring.

Who you gonna call?

You know the only PG worth getting who would be available for less than the MAX?

Because I thought a ring was more important to him than money?

He wants to get paid and win like anyone else. It's worth taking a slight paycut to add a 3rd star like the Miami guys did. But if I'm Melo I sure as hell ain't risking taking less for some average players like Gallo, especially when I don't even know how much less is.

Come on now, these players aren't studs. I'm not trying to bash your players but these are not star players that y'all are losing. Players like Gallo aren't hard to get. Stars are.
