I really think Carmelo enjoys the attention. He said he didn't want to this into the LeBron Decision, but he's gone past this, he just made this a reality show to have teams fight to the death for his services. Yes, our players are professionals and should be over these types of distractions, but on the other hand they are humans who are susceptible to these rumors and as humans it affects them.

I just hope Carmelo realizes that its not only his life being affected by all this, its just that he's the one who sells papers and gets ratings. He could have done two things, told the Mcnuggets what his real intentions are or the two word "No Comment" should have been the only phrase in his basketball press conference vocabulary...

I too am sick of hearing about Carmelo...

Denver still prefers NJ's package to NY's increased offer, because "They think picks have more value than the players," league source says.

Asshola is right. They do want more from us which is where you gotta draw the line and walk away from the table.

I hope Denver turns this down. That would force Melo to put the pressure on them.

yes denver, the lakers crappy late 1st round pick and a buncha other picks in one of the worst drafts in NBA history is far better than Gallo, Chandler and Felton a PG on a cheap contract who almost made the allstar team.

Amateur hour...cya later Denver

hefty price... can't know for sure if we're overpaying or not simply because we don't know for sure if 'Melo was willing to go to FA. If he isn't, which I assume he's not, then from a pure talent perspective, we win the deal. We get our two superstars, but we give up a lot in the process.

Make that deal ASAP.

Follow that up by somehow finding another defensive big and backup PG and the Knicks are contenders THIS YEAR.

The Knicks can only offer what Miami is offering, if you were a defensive big would you play with 3 all-stars or 2?

Has anyone crunched the numbers on such a deal?

What are the salary cap implications for the Knicks in 2011 & 2012?

There's pretty much little talent coming from this year's draft. It's ridiculous

Denver prefers it because didn't Melo say if NY backs off he'll just sign with the Nets?

YES. That's great. WALK AWAY FROM THE DEAL. If Melo really wants to come here, he will. He won't agree to the Jersey deal.
