LMAO

That's one terrible bench. We have nothing left. Stop pretending those players have any value outside of expiring contracts, which will be worthless in 6 days.

It's the same bench we have now.[/quote]

Exactly. In other words, he f*cked us, because his bank account is more important than a title, no matter what his b*tch-ass says.

I can't go along with "he f*cked us." Amar'e got his, Melo will too. I have nothing against him for doing it. But yeah, the money + being in NY > Title to Melo. Always will be more a fan of Amar'e for coming here first, Melo a bit less...hey you know he really wants to be here. Can't hate that.

But it is what it is, we're locking ourselves into second fiddle. It's the 90's all over again. I did love those teams and I'm sure I'll love what we have working too. We just aren't going to be winning any titles.
MozGov: But in the game vs. Miami coach allowed me to smell the powder and face LeBron.

OK STOP. It is not 50 million. That is just false disinformation. And no matter how much you repeat it won't make it true. KG has made a good case for it being more like 1-2 mil a year... several times and no one has refuted it.

Then, the endorsements not to mention what big $$$ Cablevision TV shows can do for his wife...

Just stop with the BS about losing 50 million. And no he isn't less a player... he is less of a man!

all these dudes thirsty for melo better understand we're not beating miami. we wouldn't be any closer to beating them wth gallo chan etc, but atleast we would have a little more flexibility. this does not put us over the top. ,melo is not dwight or james, he doesn't make us instant championship contenders. understand that.

Let's stop complaining about everything. This board has gone from ridiculous to absurd. If we get Carmelo with Amare we can build from there. Obviously I would love to keep Chandler, Fields and Gallo and Felton, but let's be realistic. If we get to keep one of those four and add Carmelo we are a better team...period.

Mozgov
Amare
Carmelo
Fields
Billups

is greater than...

Mozgov
Amare
Gallo
Fields
Felton

Also, Amare has made the Knicks relevant again. So those idiots complaining about his "non-defense" crap can leave and his complaining also. We get on guys like Chandler for not complaining and get on guys like Amare for complaining. What a joke.

Bringing Carmelo here takes us to the second round regardless of who we get rid of to get him. For those posters who say they will no longer be Knick fans if the trade goes through...good riddance. I'm a Knick fan for life as are a lot of real Knick fans found on this board. True Die Hard Knickfan!

I'll be happy if we get a better deal but I will be ecstatic regardless because we would be getting Carmelo. Period.
Let's give LEBRON the BLACK-AND-BLUE-PRINT!

Enough with that 50 Million fairy tale. Stop.

If Melo pushed Denver, they would have folded. Instead, he left his balls in CAA's office.

It is what it is, nothing you can do at this point (ASSUMING WE KNOW WHAT IS REALLY IN THE WORKS)...

Put what could have been aside, you agree this team needs Melo? And that while we could have perhaps gotten away giving up less, moving forward with Billups Fields Melo Amare and Moz is something we still need to make happen?

This is the crux of the matter.... still can be addressed ... but if we lose Moz or Fields.... we may as well regard this as another Marbury trade.

Yeah, he's a glorified scrub. But if the deal happens, I'm hoping for this guy, his 6 fouls, good shotblocking, and reasonable contract.

Dude, the bench will have the luxury of playing with Amare and/or Carmelo.

Stop looking at it in a vacuum. They're a mediocre cast by themselves, thankfully, they get to play with 1 or 2 of the 10 best players in the world.

Their roles will be limited and defined and they'll fill them well AND there's still more deals to be made after Melo's home!!!!
Amare Stoudamire - check

Chris Paul - on deck

Look, D'Antoni is a kid with new toys. He'll run the starters ragged. He doesn't play the bench anyways.

I would laugh if Chandler doesn't sign an extension with Denver and comes back to NY.
