Theo...is he done for the season

Post#1 » by laduane1 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:49 am

Now been 3 months and he is not with the team and has had some set backs. Is he done for the season and will that open up a spot for someone who might be cut if the Melo trade goes down. Not sure either team wants all those extra players that are rumored.

Read a rumor somewhere that he is pretty much done for the season as they have no idea when he will return to action period.

Get us Eddy Curry! Do it, Mitch!

Curry's expiring after this season. He is gonna get bought out for sure after he is traded.

Either way, that was meant to be a joke. If I thought this team played crappy defense before, just wait until Curry and his 400 pound butt show up.

Not to upset about this. Never expected much from him anyways, should of definitely resigned one of Powell/Mbenga though. I'd much rather have one of them than the combination of Caracter/Ratliff

wow! We are THIN in the 'bigs' area! and yeah we shouldve resigned Powell or Mbenga 'cause look at us now! I didnt like Powell that much but looking back, he did the job. When Mitch signed Theo, i was like."Yea...talk that sh*t now!" But now I am like, "C'mon son!" smh!

Neither of those guys Powell/Benga were coming back they both wanted to be somewhere where they can get some PT. Maybe Mitch should've looked harder at guy like Kurt Thomas instead of Ratliff.

theo's games played

06-07- 2
07-08- 26
08-09- 46
09-10- 49
10-11- 8

so in the last 4 + seasons he's played in 131 games.

he's been all done for yrs now. if you thought you were going to get anything out of him before the season even started you were just fooling yourself.

What better way to make a paycheck. Hang out on the IR and collect money.

It's cool, Lakers still have that young buck Joe Smith.

He and Luke have that down. They're recruiting Joe Smith to their club as we speak.

The front office probably would have been better off not signing him and just saving money but its not my money so its not like it matters too much.

Well to be fair dub81, he kinda salvaged himself with some of the deals he's pulled off. And as far as Luke's deal, hell he was tied with his hands behind his back pretty much had to salvage something from that 04 playoff team. Remember Shaq was stepping out and Kobe was wavering about his free agency, Mitch was in a tough spot. But also Luke had shown some flashes during that '04 Finals too, didn't seem too risky at the time but it's handcuffed us for the last 3 years or so.

What are possibilities of us landing an aging Camby to replace Theo?

Camby is bitch'in about possibly retiring if he's traded, today's players get too sensitive about being in one place now. Being traded is something you should expect the minute you become a pro athlete.
