Our under 17 team is currently playing in the Concacaf championships. They beat Barbados 8-0 today and Honduras only beat them 2-1 on a goal they scored in the 90th minute. Hopefully that is a sign that this team may have some talent and they can qualify for the World Cup.

Our youth teams have tended to be pretty competitive, but that has not really translated well onto the senior level. IIRC we beat the Brazil U20 team 3-2 in Edmonton just before the 2007 U20 WC. I'm still hoping Jonathan De Guzman will play for us, he still eligible to play for us and I'm not sure if he's good enough to play for Holland with their stack midfield talent.

A midfield trio of the De Guzman brothers and Hutchinson is arguably as good as any on paper in the CONCACAF. The rest of team needs an injection of fresh talent, which does not seem to be happening.I was hoping David Edgar would break out, but hasn't been the case. I like Dejan Jakovic a lot and he should be marshalling that backline for years to come, just needs a decent partner.

It's frustrating watching the explosion of basketball talent coming out of Canada these days, but soccer is still lagging far behind in player development infrastructure, considering it's the most played sport at the grassroots level we should be seeing a lot more talented players, but the incompetency of the CSA has been setting us back for years.

I only meant the under 17 World Cup. I could not care less about the Men's or Women's senior teams at the moment.

Canada and Honduras tied 0-0 so we finish 1st in the Group. Based on the limited information I have found it sounds like they outplayed us by quite a bit. I am not sure how much to read into that though because the player who scored a hat trick in the last game came on as a sub. I hope our coach did not play our best players and that is why we were outplayed. We will play Jamaica or Guatemala or Trinidad and Tobago to determine if we make the Under 17 World Cup.

Canada will play Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday at 12:00 EST.

I now know never to trust Honduras posters. Based on that I would say we played well and our top scorer did not even play in the 1st half.

2-0 Canada on a beautiful goal by Kevin Aleman. He also plays for TFC's academy team. He has played really well the whole game. I think he will be the next player signed to TFC's senior team.

Canada won 2-0 to qualify for the under 17 World Cup for the first time since 1995.

TFC looked like crap tonight and I hate how much Stefan Frei is on the ball now in the new system.

Canada beat Panama 1-0 today and are into the final of the tournament. They will play Jamaica or the US in the final and it would be awesome to win a Men's Concacaf tournament again.

If he signed the current contract, he should honour it I guess. He feels that he is worth more since he unexpectedly had a breakout season last year, his ego is starting to talk to him. Hope this ends up not being blown out of proportion.

I have a feeling that this season is going to be a disaster. MLSE is ruining what could have been a great thing with all the support TFC was getting at the beginning.

It is sad and disappointing that nobody cares about TFC on here anymore.

Vancouver is making TFC look like a bunch of amateurs out there tonight.

The atmosphere in Vancouver is great though, and I like their stadium better than BMO field. BMO needs to get rid of those useless terraces along the length of the field.
