Aggressive moves make Sac playoff contenders in 2012

Post#1 » by king125 » Sun Feb 20, 2011 1:46 am

1. Trade Landry to Portland for 2011 first
2. Resign Dally
3. Sign RFA David West. Make a big offer, NO wont match
4 Trade JT, Donte, Portlands 1st, Kings 2012 pick for Steve Nash
5. Draft either D. Williams or Terrence Jones in the draft

2011-2012 team

Cousins/Dally
West/Whiteside/Jackson
Casspi/Williams or T.Jones
Evans/Garcia
Nash/Udrih/Pooh

Team looks gooooood, and is very diverse. Can play many different ways. What do you ya think?

WTF? Steve Nash? Why would we go trading for Steve Nash? I think 1 and 2 are fine, 3 is iffy because West isn't a HUGE upgrade over thompson. Especially if we're giving him away for Nash... I do think Williams or Jones would be solid picks, but I do believe that Barnes will actually be a better player than Jones and I don't think Williams is a true 3.

Heck ya Nash what better veteran to teach these guys then Steve Nash. Plus he would make this team so hard to stop offensivly. Who would other teams gameplan for?

And David West is so much better then JT. Not even in the same league.

In the talent department he is, no question about it.

Nash isn't going anywhere unless the Suns are going to blow it up, and even if they do they may decide to keep Nash anyway.

Even if Nash becomes available, odds are other teams would make better offers.

If Steve Nash requests a trade, why the hell would he want to come here?!

Give up two young players and two first round picks for a PG who will be 38 next year? No thanks! Steve Nash is one of the best PG’s of all time but he can’t have more than a year or two left at this point. Why would you give up your youth and draft picks for a guy who will be done soon? That kind of move only makes sense for a team that’s in a win now mode and that could possibly win a title win a title with Nash. The Kings aren’t good enough right now to win a title, even with Nash, which makes it a bad move for The Kings and for Nash in my opinion.

He wouldn't have to request a trade. It's not as if he can't be traded unless he asks to be. If The Suns feel they can get something worthwhile in return, they'd trade him and there isn't anything he can do about it.

I seriously doubt that the Suns will trade Nash unless he requests a trade.

They might if they were getting a bunch of young talent and draft picks. They know Nash is near the end of his career and they only have him under contract for one more season anyways. Nash may be on good terms with Suns management but business is business and I doubt they'd pass up a good offer just based on loyalty alone.

I don't understand how trading out young players for younger players that won't go top five is any guarantee the team will be better off after making these trades.

Nice try but that team would be on of the worst defenses in the league, in my world i would trade Cousins (not cuz i dont think hes good just i never have liked his face/personality/defense) for Brandon High Top Jennings or Curry i guess then draft a big probably between Sullinger or Valanciunas.

Jennings
Evans
Casspi
Sullinger or Valanciunas(perry jones is overrated as **** imo)
Thompson

They probably would make the playoffs and have a very exciting future as well
