The Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed upon a trade, which is dependent on the prior Suns/Raptors trade.
The Suns send Jose Calderon ($9,000,000), and Sebastian Telfair ($2,700,000) in exchange for Baron Davis ($13,000,000).
The Suns accept, we like Baron a bit more than Jose. Baron has been rejuvenated playing with Griffin, averaging 17/3/7 in the past 23 games.
The Suns, Cavs, and Knicks are amending this deal to look like this
to new york:
Jose Calderon $9,000,000),
to cleveland:
Eduardo Najera $3,000,000
Ryan Gomes $4,000,000
Ryan Hollins $2,333,333
Sebastian Telfair ($2,700,000)
to phoenix:
Baron Davis ($13,000,000).
the cavs do this to clear a guard glut and cut down davis' deal to more managable size
Accept. Cuts into my cap a bit, but that's OK. Calderon is exactly what this team needs. His passing ability will greatly help my young players' development by getting them easy shots. Also get to clear a couple roster spaces, sick of having 15 players.
so I guess this is what the trade actual is?
new york trades:
Eduardo Najera $3,000,000
Ryan Gomes $4,000,000
Ryan Hollins $2,333,333
new york gets
Jose Calderon ($9,000,000)
Cleveland trades:
Baron Davis ($13,000,000)
Cleveland gets:
Eduardo Najera $3,000,000
Ryan Gomes $4,000,000
Ryan Hollins $2,333,333
Sebastian Telfair ($2,700,000)
Phoenix trades:
Jose Calderon ($9,000,000)
Sebastian Telfair ($2,700,000)
Phoenix gets:
Baron Davis ($13,000,000)
I will need rosters updated before this trade to show that Clev only has 12 on roster pretrade, that PHX has the open roster slot, and that and that NY has 12 on roster post trade
