Deal works.

PHI accepts. This brings a solid starting center to the team in Okur, that we much need. Glen Davis is another good, young PF that adds to this team. Also, I get rid of Brand's big contract.

Warriors accept. We take on Brand's huge contract, but he is having a great year, and is a solid PF for us with Melo and DWill already on the roster. We also pick up philly's 1st round pick this year, and with them rebuilding, it should be a rather high pick.
jnzook's favorite player depth chart:

Deron Williams/Kyrie Irving/George Hill
Paul George/Jeremy Lamb
LeBron James/Danny Granger/Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Dirk Nowitzki/David West
Roy Hibbert/DeMarcus Cousins

Portland Waives:
Sean Marks

Jeff Pendergraph*

* I completely overlooked that I never had Pendergraph to begin with, according to Shamsports he was waived in October and he is not listed on Portland's roster page on Yahoo.

Knicks Get
Evan Turner $4,602,720
Darius Songaila $4,818,000

Total: $9,420,720

76ers Get
O.J. Mayo $4,456,200
Corey Brewer $3,703,472

Total: $8,159,672 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $10,299,590

Accept. We like Turner's skill set as a slasher, rebounder, and defender much better playing next to Love and Jennings.

The Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors have agreed upon a trade.

The Suns send Vince Carter ($17,522,375) and Robin Lopez ($1,867,320) in exchange for Andrea Bargnani ($8,500,000), Julian Wright ($2,858,057), Jose Calderon ($9,000,000) and Miami's 2011 1st round pick.

Raps Incoming: $19,389,695
Raps Outgoing: $16,108,057 x 1.25 = $20,135,071 (including Bargs BYC)

Suns Incoming: $20,358,057
Suns Outgoing: $19,389,695

Deal Works!

Suns accept, we hate to lose Lopez, but like Bargs.

Toronto Accepts.

Toronto had to make a decision on what to do for the future. With Bargnani being as talented as he is, his lack of effort on defense and especially the rebounding side is unacceptable. We use Bargnani to dump Jose Calderon and the 30M+ left on his contract, while getting back a Center, one we hope can grow into a defensive presense. With Vince's 4M buyout option, we have gained enough cap space to do some damage this offseason.

76ers accept. Turner is a bust this season, and although some say he has potential, I don't believe he has much to offer. O.J. Mayo gives us a nice perimeter scorer and passer. Brewer is a nice backup to Galinari or Mayo, and offers us some great defence. Good trading Knicks.

The Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks have agreed upon a trade.

The Suns send Steve Nash ($10,310,938), and Andris Biedrins ($9,000,000) in exchange for Josh Smith ($11,700,000), and Mo Williams ($9,300,000).

Suns Outgoing/Hawks Incoming: $19,310,938
Hawks Outgoing/Suns Incoming: $21,000,000

Deal obviously works.

We hate to give up Biedrins in this deal, because we feel Nash is still one of the top 10-15 players in the NBA, but the lack of any substantial offer besides maybe one was frustrating. Here we get a piece we think can be the main part of our core.

We grab a true center to put beside Amare, allowing him to move to his natural position of PF. Beans can defend and rebound with the best of them and thats all he needs to do on our team. Nash is putting 17/11 on 50/40/90 and having a big season with no tools to work with. Here he gets to reunite with Johnson and Amare and make a deep playoff run.

The Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed upon a trade, which is dependent on the prior Suns/Raptors trade.

The Suns send Jose Calderon ($9,000,000), and Sebastian Telfair ($2,700,000) in exchange for Baron Davis ($13,000,000).

The Suns accept, we like Baron a bit more than Jose. Baron has been rejuvenated playing with Griffin, averaging 17/3/7 in the past 23 games.

Accept. Cuts into my cap a bit, but that's OK. Calderon is exactly what this team needs. His passing ability will greatly help my young players' development by getting them easy shots. Also get to clear a couple roster spaces, sick of having 15 players.

Trade #57

Portland sends:
Jonny Flynn - $3,192,000
Andre Miller - $7,269,264

Philadelphia sends:
Chauncey Billups $13,150,000

Why?
Portland upgrades the point guard spot with a savvy vet who always seems to make the right play and is a very solid outside shooter. He may be getting old, but we feel he definitely will live up to his current contract for it's duration.

#57 (I assume the above is cancelled?)

LA Lakers have a trade to announce.

LA Trades:

Derek FIsher - $3.7m

OKC Trades:

Cap space (currently has $3.8m space)
2012 2nd round pick

Why for LA? With CP3 on board, we feel Fisher is no longer needed. We'd like to wish him well for the future.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.
