Troy "Escalade" Jackson died last night in LA

Former Louisville Cardinal Center and the 6'9" 350-500lb brother of retired NBA PG (now annoucer) Mark Jackson and BFF of Rafer "Skip" Alston, died in his sleep last night in LA, He was only 35.

He was best known as ESCALADE from the And1 Streetball Tour. R.I.P. Big Man.

If he was 6-9 and 350 when playing competitively he had to have been well over 400.

Im guessing this just happened after the ASG, No reports detailing it outside of he was asleep. With him being only 35 and i dont believe (but you never know) he was the drug type, i guessing it has to be something somehow weight related, dude was like 4-5 bills large.

I guess we have to wait till the reports come out.

A lot of times a very large person who is young might have breathing problems at night. Sleep apnia killed Reggie White.

I used to be addicted to And1 way before I started watching the NBA. Even though I think And1 is crap now compared to the NBA, I still have a lot of respect for Escalade. I know he was obese and all, but I seriously didn't expect him to die so young. Not that I knew him personally, but he seemed like a great person and contributed a lot to the Streetball series on ESPN. He was also pretty good for his size, too. He dunked on someone back in 2002 and he was still obese at the time.
