Atlanta gets: Ramon Sessions and Leon Powe
Cleveland gets: Jeff Teague, Mo Evans, and Etan Thomas.
Cleveland gets 3 expiring contracts and Atlanta gets a starting point guard and a serviceable big man.
Sessions / Bibby
Joe / JC1 / JC2
Josh / Marvin / Nephew Wilkins
Al / Powe / Powell
Zaza / Twin / Powell
Thats a good looking line up if you ask me. I think Marvin needs to be on the bench so he can get the ball with the second team. He would be the 2nd scoring option on the second team as opposed to the 4th option on the 1st team. Marvin would thrive coming off the bench.

That trade is a +11 wins for the Hawks.
Now the question is would the Cavs do that? I don't think the Cavs need Ramon Sessions and Mo Williams.
What do you guys think?

I do not think Teague is enough to net you Sessions.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I think that if you include a 1st round pick with the package they might do it.

so what do you think would be enough to get him. wouldnt want over pay. teague or jordan and a first is all we should offer. if it would cost more than that i would go after jack jarret. they similar type players anyway but jack can hit a three.

Re: ATL/CLE Trade
^^^ I see Jack as a combo guard. Better on D, but not nearly as good on the offensive end as Sessions because Sessions is a better penetrator and better at getting to the line.

I don't see any incentive for the Cavs unless there is a pick involved

We should have trade for him before he shows the numbers he's putting right now.
Now, the incentives is that Session can be out of their plan in the sense that he looks good, and improve the team, but if CLE plan is to tank 2 or 3 years in a row to get more high draft picks, what to point to keep someone who makes you a better team ?
And Sessions would also not be happy if he stays in CLE during all his contract and play for a team just wanting to tank.
Meanwhile, I agree that they should ask for a ATL 1st pick at least and expiring, or player worth a 1st pick like Teague and expiring.
Evans+Teague make exactly the salary of Sessions.
If we trade Marvin, it would need CLE to use his TPE from James.
What about Marvin+1st for Sessions+Parker ?
We would have up to 4M to keep Parker (he's making almost 3M now), and we would have next season Parker and Sessions for the price of Marvin, so we would let Crawford walk, stay under the Tax, but have Parker instead of Crawford and Sessions instead of Marvin.
It also allows to let Crawford and Evans walk, be at 61M with Sessions, so enough to spend the full MLE on another player, and still have nearly 3M to spend on minimal contract.
Next season :
- Sessions + a MLE player
or
- Marvin + 1st pick (at 1M) + 3M of minimal contract
or
- Crawford by trading Marvin for expiring and using money to keep Crawford + 1st pick + minimal contracts if there is still some money
I choose the first option, and part of the reason is that we draft player who can't produce, or we can't develop them, so what's the point to have pick ? Better trading him before their have less value.
