Such a game changing trade for those two teams, could really be a fork in the road moment in either direction. I do think the difference between Johnson and Stewart is overplayed because of the former getting picked #1, Stewart is both really good now and has huge upside, every team is looking for a 1st line power forward like him

Still though, it's crazy that Colorado has Stastny, Duchene and Johnson. It's like they pulled a Pitt/Wash/Chic tanking wise, except they've only had one season under 95 points in history. Epic rebuild.

What a fantastic debut by Craig Anderson 47 saves for the shutout..

He's the type of goalie the Sens need at this point, he has the potential to absolutely steal a game for his team we seen that last year with Colorado.... Something that Elliott wasn't capable of doing in Ottawa.

Burke apparently close to a deal to get a dman - could get done as early as tomorrow. Probably a 5th dman for a 3rd rounder or something along those lines.

Talk is that Zach Bogosian might be on the block. I'd love to have him in Edmonton and I think we might have the pieces to make a deal.

I like the Kovalev move for the Pen's, they didn't give up much and if he decides to play he could really help them out. And considering that he played well for the Pen's in the past this could work out for them.

I like Sopel and Dawes and they'll fit in well in Montreal.

Good pickup for the Rangers. He'll help them out on the powerplay and they need help on the powerplay.

McCabe's destiny was to end up on the NYR at some point, I'm just surprised it happened so late. So many years where he was a fat bad contract, that's usually when the Sather snake strikes!

Blue Jackets claimed Craig Rivet off waivers today. Not a bad pickup up for them he should help with their push to make the playoffs.
