Iggy,Kapono for AK,Elson

Post#1 » by blackham9258 » Mon Feb 21, 2011 5:26 am

If Philly want to cut payroll, this is the deal. We get a SG who can create his own shot and we dont sacrifice any key pieces. This is a play to keep Deron.

iggy will stiil have value for several years into the future, and could be used a chip in the future for a bigger deal. Get a piece with AK's expring deal. If we sit on our hands we will lose Deron.

Would Philly do it?

If we gave them CJ, I'd throw in my own personal cash considerations.

I want to see this deal happen enough that if my trade doesn't get them going I would be willing to add CJ. Iggy is a defensive stopper and an offensive weapon that I think will make a huge difference on the Jazz.

I wonder if the 76ers want to part with Iguodala's contract. We've made a few deals with them in the past, so there is at least that groundwork here.

I don't know much about their feelings about Kapono, or their need for guys like Kirilenko and Elson, but it is a good way to get some flexibility. I'd be afraid they'd want to unload Brand in an Iguodala deal, to add some bitter to the sweet.

From comments I've read around the other team's boards, adding CJ means you have to sweeten the deal even more for them. Very few people look at him as a plus. He is just too inconsistent.
