I wouldn't go that far. I would trade some of our shooters for some slashers and D. Do we really need 10 shooters? Miami and Chicago seem to do fine with just a few.

I agree. I think the biggest thing we need right now is to get ready for 2012. Figure out how we can get in the running for Derron or CP3 and convince Dwight to stay and recruit the hell out of them. Everyone around us is getting better. We gotta do the same.

I think ZBo could muster up a slightly better defensive stand point in his career under SVG... like VC did when he got here (it was slightly better, but not great or any thing)... plus, it also doesn't hurt having Dwight Howard as your frontcourt partner side by side every night coming from the weakside to help swat shots

If Zbo can make the necessary help-d, and rotations to close-out on defense, then all is okay... yes his individual defense isn't the best... but in a system (SVG) where the mindset is to be defensive at all times and where having an elite defensive oriented frontcourt teammate (Dwight) by his side will push him most nights... it will definitely help him and his shortcomings at least slightly... and that's a chance I'm willing to take with him, if he can bring 20/13 every night (and only if he comes in this trade with other players though, such as a SG/SF like Mayo and/or another backup big... I don't want to trade FOR just Zbo solely)

If Mayo is involved count me in without a doubt.

If not, then I don't see how it helps us.

Lala making that money
Details of Melo's extension. After earning $18.52 mil next season, he'll get $19.45 mil (12-13), $21.49 million (13-14), $23.53 mil (14-15)

btw, why is his nickname ZBo?

anyways, I would be worried about the financial part of bringing in ZBo. He is a UFA looking for his last big contract, and I'm tired of Otis giving out huge contracts to undeserving players.

I wouldn't mind TOny Allen here. He'd give us the defense we lack on our perimeter.

This for sure or even Tony Allen would be fine with me as well.

Yeah, even if Mayo doesn't come in the deal, I would welcome Tony Allen + Zbo ... and/or backup big as well

The Memphis stuff won't hold water. Too much ugliness and variables in the end.

Seems like every team is on the phone. Every year it's like this, but social networking is amplifying how chaotic it is.

Thursday at 3 but most of the trade will be done tomorrow. No one really like to wait until the very last day just in case some tweaking has to be done.

Yep, but it's still intriguing nonetheless
