1. Keep discussions in the "discussions thread", not the transactions thread
2. Melo signing an extension in real life effects this game as much as him getting to NY
3. We allow tampering in these games, so NY can talk all they want about wanting cap space to go after Melo or any other FA

well this is the first time ive done this game, so i didnt know him signing an extension didnt matter...and i didnt know tampering was alowed. so exxxcuse me. maybe you and millerforever should do a better job in telling newbs how the game is done completely, maybe a beginners guide, instead of puttin up vague rules to the game, and expecting people to just "know" when you've never done this before you dont know ****. just saying. you guys do a great job, but i havent learned nething about the game from either one of you, ive got all my info on how the game is played from tmac and bness, so thank you to them...and an afterthought, he or anyone can go after melo all they want, but i dont see him leaving the most money that can be offered, as well as arguably the best pg in the league, and a solid team around them, and possibly the first pick in the draft since i have philly's pick, as well as my own. just saying...tamper that

Trade #71

Blockbusta

Golden State sends:
Carmelo Anthony - $17,149,243
Channing Frye - $5,200,000

Portland sends:
Rudy Gay - $13,603,750
Rudy Fernandez - $1,246,680
Marcus Camby - $11,749,832
2011 Portland 1st

Why?
We give up a lot, but the chance to pair Melo with a dominant big and his old buddy Billups was too much to pass up while keeping Matthews.

You never ever IM'ed me with these questions. The door's open. As for RL things, injuries usually affect the game, but transactions do not.

we do not do buyouts,
Eddie Nejera is a cap hit of $3,000,000 (2010/2011) and $2,750,000 (2011/2012)
please list on your roster page

this brings you down to 14 players on your roster, which still does not let you do a 4 for 2 trade

There are reports that telfair's agent is shopping him around, but no official word has been received that he is a FA

I understand Why22 is not properly posting who he waives/waived under the transactions thread. But this is majorly hindering me from making deals, as i am waiting for this trade to be approved. He waived the players the make the trade work, everyone knows it, he just didnt post. Please clear this up Sambone or Miller, as its hindering me to play the game. Thanks.

Knicks Get
Thabo Sefolosha $3,250,000
D.J. White $1,108,680

Total: $4,358,680 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $5,548,350

Magic Get
Darius Songaila $4,818,000
2011 Magic 1st

Total: $4,818,000

Accept. Sefolosha's one of the best defenders in the league and a terrific fit with our team. Also above average on the boards. I'm actually gonna go with Jennings/Sefolosha/Fields/Love/Favors as my starting 5 now. We still have 3 picks in this draft so we're OK with giving up the pick.

The Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a trade.

Before the deal the Oklahoma City Thunder would like to sign Earl Barron to a one year minimum deal. ($854,389)

Chicago Outgoing / OKC Incoming:

Carlos Boozer $14,400,000
Brandon Roy $13,603,750
Jamario Moon $854,389 - (Minimum deal does not count in total)
Luke Harangody $473,604 - (Minimum deal does not count in total)
2011 2nd round pick from ATLANTA
Total: $28,003,750

Thunder Outgoing / Bulls Incoming:

Pau Gasol $17,823,000
Cole Aldrich $2,126,520
Ryan Anderson $1,409,040
Joe Smith $854,389
Josh Powell $854,389
Total: $23,067,338 x 1.25% + $100,000 = $28,934,173

Salaries WORK barely.
Roster Numbers Equal = (OKC 13 with signing, so he can trade 5 for 4) (CHI 14 and then 4 for 5 to 15)
Trade WORKS! All the way around!

Why?
We wanted to upgrade the PF spot badly. We feel Gasol is that upgrade. Boozer is a 20 / 10 guy everynight, but we feel Gasol has better defense as well as passing. We ABSOLUTELY HATE giving up Roy as your project / risk 6th man, because we feel that, not having to rely on him night in and night out, he could thrive, giving us a 6th man of the year candidate. We feel that ROY only works on a few teams, where he can be a 6th man and not have to carry the load, and OKC is deff. one of those teams. The rest are just fillers. We wish the best of luck to Boozer and Roy in OKC playing with KD and the boys. Good dealing Booz.
EDIT: Numbered the trade.

OKC accepts. No doubt in my mind that we slightly win this trade talent-wise, financial wise is the problem, though, concerning me as im now stuck with his contract. We have plenty of depth so the concern of Roy getting huge minutes wont be a huge deal. He will thrive now that the team isn't relying too much from him. He can still be a very GREAT and SOLID player and some still see him like a star even though he aint the Brandon Roy of old. Im definitely obviously taking a gamble by taking on his contract, but I feel he's worth it. Besides -- anyone who's been around for awhile knows I dont give a f about contracts. I just wanna win. Losing Pau also hurts, but replacing him w/ C-Booz is nice and not too shabby. CBooz and DRose in real life is great, what now when he's around KD, BRoy and a talented young team with championship aspirations and great depth? Sexy deal for both teams, good dealing ness.

Sherron Collins $473,604
Total: $3,224,702 x 1.25% + 100,000 = 4,130,878 (Maximum Incoming)

Cleveland outgoing / Chicago Incoming:

Anthony Parker $2,855,769
Christian Eyenga $1,020,960
2011 2nd round pick from OKC
Total: $3,876,729

Salaries work, bearly.

Why?
Its a sad day in the Chi - Town. Losing Scalabrine will set this franchise back, but we feel we can rebuild fast. We also feel that Eyenga's potential / value / ceiling is about the same with Crawfords, if not more, so Anthony Parker is icing on the cake for us. Good dealing Cleveland.

I do not think this trade will work, even after with waiving all those guys, Cleveland currently has 15 players on their roster and can not do this trade untill they waive 2 more players

so trade is on hold untill Cleveland waives 2 more players in addition to the 7 that he has already waived

Telfair and Najera were waived according to his roster (He did not post again)

Najera is waived. why22 is responsible for all of that money. You must list the salaries of the people you waived, because their salaries should count against your capspace.

Update your rosters, especially you, why22.

Trade approved.

#66-69

The Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trailblazers, and Houston Rockets have agreed upon a BLOCKBUSTER!

1.) Suns trade Gani Lawal to Golden State for free, as he's a minimum contract.

2.) Minnesota trades Royal Ivey ($1,200,000) in exchange for GS TPE from Watson deal.

3.) The Rockets trade Chase Budinger ($780,871) to the Suns in exchange for TPE.

All this is prior to the trade, taking two players, GS's roster is at 14.

Then...

4.)

The Rockets trade Brad Miller ($4,400,000) in exchange for Marquis Daniels ($2,388,000).
**Works as Rockets are taking less than they are outgoing.

The Golden State Warriors trade Jeremy Lin ($473,604), Marquis Daniels ($2,388,000), and Francisco Elson (854,389) in exchange for Brad Miller ($4,400,000).
**Warriors Outgoing: $3,715,993 = $4,644,991. ** Warriors Incoming: $4,400,000

The Timberwolves accept Jeremy Lin for free (minimum) - HAVE ROSTER SPACE

The Blazers accept Francisco Elson for free (minimum) - HAVE ROSTER SPACE

TRADES ALL APPROVED, please update rosters

no prob, the trade #58 is approved. Clev is on the hook for the entire contract owed to nejera, I will coppy the trade when I get a chance to look back and find it. Chicago is free to shop the players he received

ATL and MIN have a trade to announce.

ATL outgoing:
CJ Watson $3,600,000
2014 1st

MIN outgoing:
Darko Milicic $4,325,000

It feels weird saying this but we add one of the leagues leading shot blockers in (2.2) in Milicic, and a 7 foot center who is still only 25 years old. He can start or backup Biedrins, and gives us flexibility going forward.

Accept. Just wanted to move Turiaf for an expiring and we weren't going to pick up Delfino's contract in the offseason anyways.

LAC and CLE have agreed to a trade

Jeff Green/2013 1st for Wilson Chandler/Ramon Sessions

$4,455,988

$2,130,482 + $3,964,320 = more than Green but I have a ton of cap space

We could use the depth at PG and like Chandler the same as Green.

LAC accepts
