The bulls know what they are doing and though Houston wants Asik, I'd be shocked if they turn down two firsts if we up the offer to that. Like KC said bulls are in strength of position with this space and picks. Give me Mayo or Lee, whoever just whatever teams bites on taking picks and no rotation players

Houston isn't getting Asik. They can ask all they want.....but they ain't getting him.

Between Lee, Mayo, Parker, and Afflalo, I'm pretty sure the Bulls will get something done.

Would you give up any of the rotation players if that would get us Afflalo?

Taj + either or both of ours and miamis firsts for AA and Birdman. Should work and would be good as AA is the best 2-way SG available right now

No to giving up asik for lee.

Sorry, but that really doesn't make sense. We are going to need long-term solution at the SG. Afflalo is that guy.

Taj Gibson is a short-term back up PF. Very easily replaced using the MLE or through the draft.

I would absolutely give Gibson for Afflalo.

You can replace Afflalo with the MLE more easily than you could replace Gibson IMO.

Ralph, I like the cut of your jib when it comes to our SG transaction and tend to agree with you about the FO's strategy and strength of position. Same with Panthermark might I add. Question for you...

Who do you propose sending out to make the Mayo deal work?

And who would be that guy as good as Afflalo who could be signed with the MLE money?

I'd give them Charlotte's 1st, Bulls 1st and Miami's 1st and wouldn't hesitate giving them the Suns 2nd this year.

With what we see from Thibs, he won't play rookies and in a draft that isn't so strong giving up two 1'st and a 2nd with the Charlotte's pick is worth it.

For Lee I'd offer two 1st for him. When you want to keep your rotation players intact and add upgrade like Mayo or Lee, IMO at least you must overpay and overpaying with picks is okay with me

Thanks. This ^^ is exactly what I agree with... Sending out picks vs players. BUT, to make the $ work for Mayo, we need to send salary to Memphis correct? Bogans, Scal.. does that get it done? That was my main question, what players do you want to send?

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Yup, Bogans will get it done from a salary standpoint.

If Chicago does this deal it would be a huge mistake. Courtney Lee probably has a worst jump shot than Bogans. If you wait until next season you could try and get Wilson Chandler who'll be a free agent at seasons end. Then you'd have a big SG who can put it on the floor, rebound and shoot from outside.

Completely agree with Ralph. If I am sending out a rotation player its Watson not Taj or Omer.

I would be shooting Morey myself if I was a Rockets fan. Two firsts for a player that plays behind your best player (ala Rudy Fernandez) and is not putting up great numbers and who can land you two picks to fill real needs..... Wow.

I have a hard time thinking that MEM wouldn't take our 3 1sts and Watson for Mayo.

Maybe a three way:

MEM- Bobcats Pick, MIA 1st, Lee, Watson
HOU- Thabeet, Bulls 1st
CHI- Mayo

I would not move Taj now.... He is a vital part of our defense....and moving him this year simply creates another hole that needs to be filled come play-off time.
And don't forget, money also plays a part in this....as you will be matching offers for Afflalo, will also trying to sign a PF.

Wilson Chandler is not a SG.
