financially, the trade above doesn't work, Zaza would also have to be included

Brooks, Scola, and Yao for Josh, Teague, Marvin, and Zaza

............... it is a "maybe"

LOL a "maybe" my a$$. I
'd do that in a heartbeat. I'd do Scola for Smoove straight up at this point. We need to break this rotten "core".

The problem is that Scola probably isn't available.

To NJ
Josh Smith
For
Brook Lopez
Troy Murphy
1st round pick

use the pick with our own to acquire PG help.

Or make it a 3 way with Cleveland by sending Murphy, Bibby, and Evans for Sessions and Antwan Jamison.

Sessions/Teague
Johnson/Crawford/Crawford
Williams/Wilkins
Horford/Jamison/Powell
Lopez/Collins/Pachulia/Thomas

Too late.

Why? I hadn't heard the Murphy deal was official with Golden St. I think they might want to pair Josh with Deron.

EDIT - I've seen one report that Murphy is going to Golden St. so I guess it is too late to make the move. Oh well. Just get me a PG who can penetrate and I'll make do for now.

Im for whatever at this point. Trade any piece of this team outside of Horf.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Agreed. Aaron Brooks, Luis Scola fill big time needs on our team.

And we improve just by getting rid of Josh Smith.

Also, Smoove probably would thrive under a veteran coach like Adelman.

This deal is the only decent one I see.

hi guys, is ATL really shopping Smith?? I figure ATL needs a C in return in that case. What about this, working under CBA:

Batum + Oden + Babbitt + Johnson for Josh Smith + Sy

?
Problem is, POR loses 3pt shooting with this deal, with Smith at the 3.

No. It was an overreaction by a fan to a bad game. We aren't shopping Smith, but anyone on the roster is available if the package is good enough.

Still, the deal you propose has some merit. I could care less about Babbitt (you can keep him if you think it'd help with your 3 PT shooting), and at this point, we'd be more likely to view Oden as nothing more than an expiring, but Batum would be a nice upgrade on Marvin and Johnson is a decent prospect @ a position of need. It's not quite enough, but it'd be enough to start a conversation. If you kept Babbitt and Oden, would Camby be available?
