Wilson Chandler's intriguing. We'd have to pay for him this offseason, and I think he's more a sf than he is a 2, but he's a good athlete who can score from a lot of different places on the floor. An intriguing backup option I'd have to think about.

The reports are that he will need offseason ankle surgery... again. Probably fine but it will make his contract next year less huge maybe.

The problem with trading for Chandler:

1. He's looking to get PAID this summer.
2. He's not a two-guard. More of a three, who can play 2 in spurts.

So the Bulls could give up a lot of assets for him and then lose him this summer if another team makes a big offer.

Latest word was that Denver is not looking to trade JR Smith - because they are hoping to resign him. With Carmelo's scoring gone, they probably figure they need him. Denver looks like they are going to try and make the playoffs this season and next.

On paper not a bad younf team. They will have to find a coach that can groom them but Lawson/Affalo/Gallo/Martin/Nene isnt a bad team. Even in the west. Better than a few team imo actually.

Yep - I actually like what they've done, and don't expect their record to get any worse. Karl will get them to play defense, and they have the horses to run.

They can't keep anyone. They're going to have to keep either Afflalo or Smith because they're not going to sign both with Chandler expiring as well.

Chandler won't even start for them - I expect they'll just let him go, or possibly get a pick in a S&T.

Lots of poker, lots of options - for the Bulls. We have the leverage, and we do not have Isiah/Dolan running the show. This is going to turn out good for us.

Houston can go **** themselves then. We'll trade the Miami pick for Anthony Parker.

No,, MEm is out of their minds. I think they somehow believe that Mayo is going to get them a return of a D. Rose type of talent. In whcih case, they are crazier than I believe.

Or thats what the Mem fans seem to think.

Jordan Hill is marginally better than Thabeet and is actually deserving of an NBA roster spot. That said - no way is Lee/Hill worth Asik/2 firsts from Chicago.

Hell no.

Yep, that JJ deal opened a lot for us. That pick holds more value so we can now overpay with picks and force Houston or Memphis to budge.

That's what we offered or what they offered?

Sorry from Memphis side. Bulls want to deal picks only.....

If that's the case, Cliff Levingston hopes the Bulls play some hard ball. Taking Thabeet off their hands while saving them immediate money has to be worth something. If we give up Taj, Cliff Levingston would hope that we can hold onto the Charlotte pick to use in the future. Omer would need to step up and take Taj's minutes but Cliff Levingston thinks we could get away with that. Noah, Boozer and Thomas with Asik sprinkled in this year; Boozer, Noah and Asik with Thomas sprinkled in next year. In exchange for Mayo; that's do-able.

And if I'm considering doing this deal, which I'm not, I'm giving up Taj, not Asik. What good is Jordan Hill going to do behind both Boozer and Taj at the 4.

What's the pick value for two late round 1st's? Would you do 2 1st's for Courtney Lee?

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

I've heard the Pietrus talks too. I just don't like him so don't like bringing him up
