Nets 2011 LOTTO WATCH and draft thread

Post#1 » by seejaydeja » Wed Feb 23, 2011 6:07 pm

I missed this. As far as I know theres no protection on the Nets pick (correct me if I'm wrong), which currently sits as the 6th pick if the season ended today...Time to watch and pray DWill doesn't turn em around.

Milwaukee 22 34
LA Clippers 21 36
Detroit 21 37
New Jersey 17 40
Washington 15 40
Toronto 15 42
Sacramento 13 41
Minnesota 13 44
Cleveland 10 46

Here are the bottom 9 teams in the standings. This feels like deja vu rooting for a team from New York to suck for the 2nd year in a row!!

C'mon Nets pile up those losses!

The only team I could see falling beneath the Nets currently is the Pistons...I think LAC and Milwaukee will both have a second half of the season that is on par or better than what they're currently at.

Washington and Toronto on the other hand could win a few ball games and surpass NJ. It's gonna be tough to catch Sacto, Minny, or Cleveland.

You're right! NO PROTECTION on this pick! Hell yes, something to look forward to!

Also, Deron is in a new system, with an even more hard-headed coach than Sloan (imo), with a messed up wrist and worse scorers around him. Not to mention this should add to his unhappiness and unrest. I don't think he's turning anything around, hopefully they suck hard.

I would think that the Nets will do worse now.

Supposedly this draft is a weaker one.

We could get out new pg of the future with the first pick in Irving after him it is a lot of pf/sf's.

It is fun going from no pick at all to a potential top 5 pick.

General consensus say it's pretty bad. Worse since the Kenyon Martin draft.

Do you target another PG or go with a wing player? As long as we don't trade Millsap or Jefferson I think our big man situation is fine.

Yikes. That really kinda sucks, that draft pick was the one thing I was happy about.

You never can tell with drafts, but this year's draft class is potentially worse because no one wants to declare early only to have a lockout-shortened season.

loaded with PF of all kinds haha..and kyrie irving.

Two euro centers in draft express's mock...Kanter who couldn't play for kentucky cause of voilations and a 7 foot lithuanian.

Kemba walker is something to consider...no good Shooting guards it looks like though...

Hayward, Favors, possibly Tomic, and whoever we draft with the Net's pick. This is going to be a fun team to watch develop.
