Yahoo: Near Agreement Gadzuric + Wright for Murphy + Pick

Golden State and New Jersey near agreement to trade Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright for Troy Murphy and 2012 second rounder, sources tell Y!

If G-State completes deal for Murphy, it's expected he'll get bought out and become a free agent. Then? Orlando, Dallas, Boston, Miami etc.

I think this is a pretty solid trade. Not really a big deal but at least Wright has some potential.

Hope this means we are selling high with Humphries, or even better dumping Petro off on someone.

There's still discussions that could expand deal to include Devin Harris and 3rd team - possibly Dallas or Portland - but NJ-GSW part solid.

I think he just doesn't get minutes. And yeah he's an expiring if I'm not mistaken.

Its to bad he probably won't get minutes here either.This is just a bad coaching staff for a young team period.Scouting report says he is a good rebounder/shot blocker.

i dont understand... isnt troy murphy's expiring contract worth more to us than a below average center and an injury riddled failed prospect?

Apparently not. Once word spread that you guys were most likely going to buy Murphy out, it seems like the contenders who could use him decided to wait for the buyout.

Both are expiring so this move is nothing to talk about. Maybe we can sign Wright next year to a cheap 1 year deal should someone give Hump an overpriced contract. Something of a plan B. He is a talented player but is injury prone.

Nets do get first shot in evaluating and deciding whether to resign them.

Personally I hope Gadzuric can do well enough to earn a vet min contract from Nets. I liked him in UCLA and on the Bucks.

I don't really know anything about Wright. But his stats show a really nice 60 FGP... We'll get to see for ourselves.

Since the deals not official. With all the other moves, does anyone think New Jersey would do this?

Pistons send Rip Hamilton (last year is unguaranteed), 2012 2nd, and Jason Maxiell for Troy Murphy, Johan Petro, and Sasha Vujacic.

Nets gain a core of Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, and the Vet Rip. Maxiell gives them depth.

Pistons buyout Troy and possibly Sasha, Petro gives them an extra center.

I'm good with Wright if no one else wants Murphy...better than a buyout.
