Alex Kennedy - 02/23/2011 1:32pm EST-

As other outlets have reported, the Minnesota Timberwolves will buyout the remaining $11,276,863 on Eddy Curry's contract. Curry, who was acquired in the three-team deal with New York and Denver, will not report to Minnesota, but rather straight to Chicago to work out with legendary trainer Tim Grover. Curry will remain in Chicago until his release, and then will look to join a contending team for the prorated veteran's minimum. Sources close to the situation say that the Miami HEAT top Curry's wish list.

 This is probably the guy Otis is after  Troy Murphy? No .. Eddy Fatty? Yes

For all of you who were asking about DH going to NJ next year, I asked this question to Larry Coon (salary cap guru) via twitter and he seems to think so saying that all signs point in that direction and Prokhorov covets him. If you do not believe me, Ill give you my twitter page if youd like and you can follow me

I'd rather have Millsap instead of Randolph. Honestly.

To add on to my post^... here's my theory/hopeful trade wish (and I'm thinking post-Deron Utah, now with Harris at PG and Favors at PF)

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4jvo75a

Paul Millsap to Orlando
Al Jefferson to Memphis
Zach Randolph, Brandon Bass, and Chris Duhon to Utah

Magic DEPTH Roster:
PG: Nelson (28 min)/Arenas (20 min)
SG: J-Rich (28 min)/Redick (12 min)/Arenas (8 min)
SF: Hedo (28 min)/Clark (20 min)/Q-Rich
PF: Millsap (28 min)/Anderson (16 min)/Clark (4 min)
C: Howard (32 min)/Anderson (12 min)/Clark (4 min)Allen/Orton

9-man Rotation:
Howard: 32 min
Millsap: 28 min
Nelson: 28 min
J-Rich: 28 min
Hedo: 28 min
Arenas: 28 min
Anderson: 28 min
Clark: 28 min
Redick: 12 min

where do I sign up? I love Millsap, he is a legit #2 guy for Dwight

IMO the Magic have to get at least a Randolph level player for JRich's expiring at the deadline or we are big time screwed.

I've warmed up to the idea of Randolph next to Dwight. Pair 2 20/13 guys is a scary front court. We'd match up better with Boston and Miami but my only concern is us losing depth at the shooting guard. I'd love to OJ Mayo or even CLee in return somehow if we had to trade J-Rich.

Yeah same here, I've warmed up to anyone that can be a legit all-star next to Dwight... whether it'd be Zbo (w/ Mayo or Tony) or Millsap or Jefferson... come on Otis!

What if you could unload Arenas' contract and get Mayo, Randolph and Brook Lopez, 2 first round picks, would you give up Dwight Howard? If no, what would have to be added to make the deal happen?

I think this comes down to Otis deciding whether or not he's close to getting an extension on J. Rich. If it looks promising (reduced salary) then no trade. If it's going to cost a lot to resign him, he needs to be moved. It's not like he's Kobe and we could just risk losing him after a year because he's good enough to lead us to a championship this year. J. Rich is avg. 13ppg. Get rid of him. It's not our money.

Sorry but that rotation is garbage. No chance on earth Clark plays 28 minutes, guy is not a game changer.

Can't unload Arenas' contract... no one wants him

We would never give up Dwight Howard (especially right now, when we're trying to win and trying get a legit sidekick for him to play with... as well as trying to make him happy and show him that the Magic are trying to win by making moves)

And there is nothing that can be added to make the deal happen (read the statement right above)

I don't understand why everyone is trying to upgrade our PF position. It think it's just fine as it is.

I'm starting to think the Randolph rumor was just that. A rumor. No one with credibility is reporting it.
