If we can't get OJ without giving up Taj or Asik, we need to think about whether it'd be better to have Lee + Taj or Mayo.

If Noah and Boozer were less injury prone then I'd definitely give up Taj for Mayo. But as it is, we need that depth.

first off if i find out that the bulls could have had mayo by giving up a combo of either taj or asik or korver plus picks and we dont do it, i will be perturbed. it will remind me of the gasol dealings the year before we didnt trade for him either. i wrote it then about deng and gordon for gasol, and ill write it here. it would be terrible to watch mayo's career take off like chauncey billips did when he is traded to a legit team with a good role for him. red may disagree, but you will all see.

second, if we trade for lee, ill be satisfied as long as it gets the improving shooting bum bogans out of the lineup. lee may be a diamond in the rough, im not sure. really havent seen enough of him to formulate an opinion like i have on mayo

All I know is by adding Courtney Lee, we will add one hell of a defensive player to our already suffocating defense. Courtney is also 6'5", so he's not an undersized shooting guard by any means.

X 2. In the scheme we run, our bigs are the hardest guys to shuffle around/replace midseason: they've got to understand our defensive philosophy and call out the pick and roll coverages to the smalls.
