Welcome to Chicago Anthony Parker!

That's what it's going to be and I'm gonna be pissed.

I see this happening as well and I will be thrilled.

Probably already mentioned in the thread, but Waddle this morning made a comment on the radio that he has about the best insider sources with the Bulls. He said he's been told that unless it's for some surprise bigger name player, that there was no way the Bulls were trading either Asik or Gibson.

Can't see a "bigger" type surprise deal coming along, unless it's someone like Kevin Martin perhaps (Asik, filler, picks).

They are not trading us Lee for picks.

Meh - I'll only be pissed if we later learn that they could have had one of the better SGs for a package that didn't include Taj or Omer. And I think GarPax pull the trigger on pretty much anything that keeps those guys in town and brings in a SG upgrade.

We are going to be damned glad to have those guys in the playoffs, I think. And much as I hate to contemplate it, they're excellent injury insurance to our starters, too.

I desperately want Lee or Mayo (or if Denver's front office suffers head injuries in the next few hours, Afflalo), but I just as desperately want us to keep this beastly frontcourt, which is driving our top-rated defense, together to go to war with Boston/Orlando/Miami.
Can I borrow a feeling?

If we don't get Lee or Mayo I will be extremely disappointed. There has to be a way we can package picks for Those players. If anything they can use the picks to trade for another player they want before the trade deadline.
Or we can just do a three team trade in which we include Utah.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4fvde4j +draft picks from us. Utah saves money
or
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4zthugz +draft picks from us. Houston gets a young center.

Utah adds to their collection of draft picks in both trades.

Bulls always drag this thing out to the last day. That's how it's been the last 3 deadlines and I don't expect this one to be any different.

We did make the Nocioni, Gooden, Simmons for John Salmons and Brad Miller deal the day before the deadline (today). And last year we traded Tyrus Thomas for Acie Law and Flip Murray either the day before or a few days before the deadline can't remember. I don't think the Bulls make that many big moves on deadline day. I do know we made the Ben Wallace to Cleveland deal on deadline day and two years ago we traded Hughes to the Knicks for Jerome James and Tim Thomas but that's not really huge.

How about go after Raja Bell?

He makes exactly 3 million this year.

Actually I'm pretty sure all of those moves were made on deadline day.

The Kings deal was on the day of the deadline. Happened a couple hours before I believe. Tyrus deal and the Salmons/Warrick deal was the day of the deadline too.

I watch every Jazz game and I can honestlu say that Raja Bell is as close to Keith Bogans 2.0 as you can possibly get. No thanks.

Aren't we only at 12 players right now, 1 under the minimum? What happens if we don't fill that by tonight's game?

The Salmons to Chicago deal was the day before I'm pretty sure. I remember David Aldridge reporting it on NBA.com. And the Salmons/Warrick deal was a few days before the deadline. I remember Salmons stayed in his New York hotel before a Bulls/Knicks game so it couldn't have been before a 2:00 PM deadline.

you guys do realize that asik plays 10 mins a game and lee would play 25-30 minutes a game.

losing asik would hurt if we have to play the celtics because it would leave us undersized, but we may struggle getting past the knicks without more scoring.

we can always get another (very) raw 7 footer. shooting guards who play decent defense and can score aren't as easy to come by.

Disagree completely. Bulls have been needing size for over a decade, and it is finally one of their strengths.

if asik is so great why cant he get on the floor for more than 10 minutes? and this is even with noah hurt for two months?

the kid is RAW. he's big, yes, but good? no.

unskilled big guys are a dime a dozen.
