Re: Official Trade Thread XV
Bibby would be terrible here. His only usefullness is as a spot up 3 point shooter. He can get away with that playing with the Hawks since JJ is a playmaking 2 and other guys are able to make plays as well. Here that would not be the case.

If there is a model for us to follow, it is Chicago
You're right, I should have mentioned Chicago. They are the 2nd best built team in the East for the long-term and could become a dominant team.

True, but if we can trade Hinrich for Bibby and Jordan Crawford, I'd probably do it. Hinrich - like Bibby - has just 1 year left on his deal, and it's not like he's part of the future. Crawford could be a nice instant offense off the bench guy in the Jamal Crawford mold.

Yeah I also forgot about the Bulls. Not only are they already really good, but they also have pieces that they can use to acquire more talent. I'd still put Miami ahead of them for now, but that could change pretty soon.

I'd agree. I probably do Hinrich for Bibby/Jordan Crawford OR 2011 1st Rd Pick...
Take a shot an asset while losing someone who isn't part of the future core.

I don't think Javale will ever amount to much. I'm looking for ways to restart operation GLOOT (Get Lewis Out Of Town). That salary is prohibitive of any potential future dealings.
If we could trade Javale+Lewis for some real cap relief and future 1sts, I'd do it.

Re: Official Trade Thread XV
My ideal deal to the Hawks for Hinrich is Bibby + Evans + Crawford + 1st round pick for Hinrich and spare parts.

Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Posted this on the Hinrich thread, but what about:
Wiz trade: Hinrich+Lewis for Bibby+Jamal Crawford+Marvin Williams?
Wiz immediatly waive Crawford, so he goes back to Atlanta.

Uh, Why? We wouldn't resign him, and unless we are trading Lewis out, he'd serve no purpose.

If Ernie can swing Lewis over to Atlanta I would have to give him props for that. I see no way anybody takes that contract.

Re: Official Trade Thread XV
Honestly, because I see Javale never being worth his potential extension, I'd trade Hinrich+Javale+Lewis for Marvin Williams+Bibby+Jamal Crawford+Jordan Crawford+2011 ATL 1st.
We'd be in great shape in 2012 cap space wise, and I think Blatche would be much better suited as a center anyways.
Maybe Marin Williams needs a change of teams anyways. He's young enough at least (24).

You're talking about Jamal Crawford. Jordan Crawford is a rookie 2 guard.
We need a pick out of it. Anything less and I'd be pissed.

With Ted's build through the draft mantra I'll be pissed if we are not involved in obtaining every available draft pick out there. If we aren't going to sign free agents or acquire veterans, I want Ernie out there offering every one of our guys outside of Wall for whatever draft pick is appropriate value for them.
