New Rotation
Corbin has been playing the rookies, and I think he'll continue to play young players in hopes of developing someone (probably at the request of ownership).
Over the last three games (Corbin as coach):
-Hayward has averaged 30 mpg
-Miles has averaged 39
-Evans has averaged 10
-Fes has averaged 8 (Elson has averaged 7)
You still have to account for the injuries to Bell and AK, but I think we'll continue to see young players playing, even at the expense of winning, in this new era. Harris averaged 32, Favors averaged 19.5 for the Nets.
My prediction:
Watson (24) / Harris (24) / price
Harris (12) / Miles (30) / Bell (6)
Kirilenko (24) / Hayward (14) / Evans (10)
Favors (12) / Millsap (36) / elson
Jefferson (36) / Favors (12) / fesenko
What does your new rotation look like?

Before we get too far into this, wait about 24 hours to see if any more trades go down. Then, let's break down the rotation.

Re: New Rotation
Yeah, he got 19.5 mpg in NJ.
I think he'll get more in Utah to show off the piece we let Williams go for. But not many more.

Re: New Rotation
Both Hayward and Favors need to play 30 minutes a night, if we are going to rebuild then we need to play the young guys that are the future of the team, not a bunch of old ***** that are not in the long term plans.

Re: New Rotation
So something like this?
Harris (32) / Watson (16) / price
Hayward (30) / Miles (15) / bell
Miles (15) / Kirilenko (19) / Evans (10)
Favors (20) / Millsap (28) / elson
Jefferson (28) / Favors (10) / Fesenko (10)
I don't think they're ready to play those kind of minutes, but that would be the rotation to develop the talent. Let's hope we have some major draft success over the next two years.

Re: New Rotation
Just play Evans, Hayward and Favors as much as possible. No reason not to shoot for the lotto now. Give the young guys some experience and give us another asset for the off-season.

Re: New Rotation
I'm a bit worried about Millsap and Favors having to compete for minutes. Favors will be able to play center, but splitting two positions is hard enough, and I would rather not ask the youngest player in the league to live with extra transition hurdles. Ideally, he would get a very consistent flow of minutes that he could count on.

Really who the hell do you want to draft this is the worse draft class that I can remember I would rather make the playoffs and let this pick go to Minny and have our pick back next year hoping itsa deeper class of better players?

Re: New Rotation
I'm hoping Corbin shakes things up...quite a bit. Mainly I don't think Raja should play more than 18-20 mins a night. Why play a 34 year old on this young team?
I'm still hoping AK is a part of our future at a lower price, but Raja...blah.

Re: New Rotation
Damn it, hope we can keep both Favors and Millsap, Millsap is cheap enough, and when Favors starts playing well and Millsap's value is still high, trade him. I don't want to lose Millsap, but once Favors deserves some 32-36 minutes we'll really have no need for Millsap. Sucks, but hey it's a good dillemna if we can get a very solid SF/SG.

Re: New Rotation
I'm with you on this one Ming Kong. Let him grow with no presure. Millsap is a great guy to teach this kid. Plus Harris is going to surprise alot of Jazz fans. He will be a stud! Mark my words, he's no DWill but he will do very well in as the new leader and PG on this team.

Lack of Evans in any rotation listed makes me really sad

Re: New Rotation
I hope Hayward, Evans, and Favors all get 20-25 minutes, if not more.
Making the playoffs is our goal, but developing our youth is a big need, and if we get an extra lottery pick this year by not making the playoffs, fine by me.

Re: New Rotation
20 for Evans is too much even if I love watching him play. Favors needs minutes, but Harris will slide into Derons minutes with Earl being more a part early on. Favors will take all of Evans, Fesenkos and Memos minutes.

Lets slide Elson down a few spots there.
