I keep hearing Boris Diaw and Nizar Mohammed to the Suns for Carter.and Orlando's 1st. The bobcats are waiting to see if a better offer comes along. Also, now that Hinrich is going to the Hawks. Look for tje Suns to make a push for Josh Smith in the summer.

Atlanta sending Bibby, Evans, Jordan Crawford to Washington for Hinrich and Armstrong. There's here new PG and center.

With this deal, it REALLY (over $65 mil without Jamal Crawford) puts Atlanta in tax next year, without being able to resign Jamal Crawford and Smith looking for a payday. With this deal, the Hawks need to get more salary off the books next year. Maybe Lopez and VC for Smith/fillers. Lopez is really cheap and VC is only $4mil buyout.

I'm sure if we move VC for an equivalent deal we will throw in the $3mil ORL gave us to even things out. That way the other team is really getting the full value

Is Josh Smith really worth sacrificing the 13-17 Million cap space, Vince Carter will give the Suns after this season?

Josh Smith in terms of Fantasy basketball is sick... 2-3 blocks from the SF/PF position is huge, plus the 15 points and 7-8 rebounds.

But is he even as IMPACTFUL as prime Shawn Marion? or Lamar Odom?

Because Shawn Marion was a 22 point 11 rebound 1.5 steals 1.5 block player for the Suns, at 15 Million a year and HE WAS HUGE for the Suns but Suns didnt think he was worth 15+ million.

Lamar Odom, continues to show his importance during playoffs when he puts up 10-15 points and 10-15 rebounds off the bench for the Lakers.... and he isnt worth 10 Million to most Laker fans... maybe 9 Million a year.

Yet a lot of fans here would give Josh Smith 12+ Million a year?....... he hasnt really helped Hawks much.....

bottomline, I think..... a 12+ million player has to be ELITE scorer at the wing... or a LEGIT inside threath who grabs 10 rebounds and anchors the D from the inside....

Josh Smith is a 3rd option type player.... Suns should be investing that cap space on a legit inside scorer... that they can build around post-Nash...

Marc Gasol 5 year 50-60 Million, depending on CBA.

Or a give Oden a qualifying offer of 5 year 40-50 Million, with incentives on the 3rd, 4th and 5th year.... he must play a certain amount of games.

These GUYS are game changer.... players that other teams adjust their whole defense or offense around....

New insider? I hope it happens, both!

Sadly, though we save the salary if we buy him out, we don't have the equivalent cap space. I thought as much, too, but it ain't so. Which sucks
However, as i understand it, we can trae him for that much slary with no penalty. We just can;t unload hin and use the same dough

And as for Smith, I think most people are anticipating he would be a 20/10 or better player here.

I only want Josh Smith if Nash is here. One without the other doesn't do it for me. That pick n roll would be Steve/Amare-esque and he's a much, much better defender.

PLEASE!!!!!!

I also wouldn't mind if they could make the deal between the 2 teams. Obviously the Cats are looking for expirings/picks/lower team salary and have come out and said they are actively looking to deal Wallace, Jackson, Diaw.
Soooooooo, why not?

VC/Pietrus/Lopez/Warrick/Suns 1st/Orl 1st/$3 mil cash
for
Diaw/Wallace/Jackson

This deal would give the Cats $14 mil expiring in VC, possibly $6 mil expiring in Pietrus, Lopez is only on the hook for $2 mil. Yes they bite the 4 years left on Warricks deal but the cost is a minimal and fairly movable $4 mil. They also get the picks and dump the year left on Wallace's deal and 2 years left on Jacksons.

Jackson would be great as our 2, especially if Nash is on the bench, since he can create and score on his own. Wallace would be great with Nash. We add salary next year with all 3, if Diaw utilizes his player option, but Diaw and Wallace would be free agents summer of 2012, and Jackson would be a useful expiring.

If the Cats or Sarver don't want to make it that big of a deal, swap out Jackson or Wallace and add Nazr, and the Suns take out Pietrus, I'd still do the deal. There are several ways of getting 2 or 3 of those 4 from the Cats with any or all of the Suns assets I proposed that would work short term and long term for both the Suns and the Cats.

Maybe this trade gets bigger to include wallace some how???

I think this trade makes a bit more sense every day that passes and I think not only in terms of the trade itself but the lack of real options for VC's pretty much expiring contract. First off, Carter is going to cost $4m if not traded and just bought- and I do not believe the Suns will not get all that cap space if he is bought out. Second, it keeps the teams cap flexibility for next year, meaning summer of 2012. Third, I think it gets Dudley and Childress more playing time at the two guard. I think Diaw can help this team more then Vince Carter will - which is hard for me to say

I could live with this move. Nothing major and drastic. As much as basketball move as a financial move. Doesn't hurt the long term cap situation of the team.

I would approve of this trade as long as its Orlando's pick.

Nash/Goran/Z
Hill/Peaches
Wallace/Dudley/Chilly
Frye/Diaw/Warrick
Lopez/Gortat/Siler

If the adjustment process doesn't kill us(and I think that's the main reason there won't be a trade), then this could be an awesome team.

Or even just Boris/Nazr would be nice.

Nash isn't going anywhere. Period. Surely you all know the reason for Sarver's existence: money. Trading Nash would lost a lot of money for him. Nash has said he isn't leaving, Gentry has said it, Babby has said it, Sarver has said it; yet somehow people keep using his name in trade proposals?

Nobody wants Jchill, not even us. Not even the olympians. It's too bad, he hustles and can slash, but the guy needs to learn how to shoot.

Lopez is worth dick.

The ONLY trade piece we have is Vince Carter. But if we can't net a very good player in return (Josh Smith being the only one that is available), then there will not be a trade. His expiring is incredibly valuable to us either way, so there's no rush.

Elton Brand is not leaving Philly either. Collins will make sure of that.

+1

some of you really need to wake up
J Chill's and Warrick's trading value is negative. Pietrus is pretty low too. Lopez is not worth much either. SO a package of any combination of above players is complete crap, no sane human beings will ever give us anyone useful with some of the offers you guys suggested.

I believe Boris has a player option next year for $9m that is not going to turn down. But I could live with that trade - bring in Wallace.

Because again, makes the team better and even more cap space in the summer of 2012. I would approve of this trade as well

At least both. Hopefully MJ's casino bills are bad enough to get that deal done.

Every decent West team except for the Lakers have made a trade or at least in talks for a trade....Suns stand PAT.

Shows you the difference between an awful management and well run management.
