Which team in the west got better? Portland, potentially. But that's it.

I don't see anything wrong with standing pat right now.

Portland hasn't done anything yet. Crash to the Blazers is cooling off.

Why the hell do we have to give them a draft pick??!!!

We're giving up an expiring contract which I thought is what teams WANT. Hell give $4 million instead of the pick.

Not to mention we'd be STUCK WITH DIAW FOR NEXT YEAR ALSO!!! This would be the worst deal Babby has done since getting here. Every respect he gained from me for doing that ORL trade would be lost with this acquisition.

For a 1st team all NBA defender in his prime and an upgrade at PF? I understand we take the salary hit but ya gotta give to get some. That move guarantees us playoffs for the next 2 years and maybe more...

Suns are not trading Carter as badly as Suns fans want him out of here he can be bought out next year and that will make the Suns players in the 2012 free agency but they do need to fix the too many wings . Sarver can't be this dumb if he goes into the lockout with four wings we will have four wings until either the start of a shortened season or until the summer of 2012 can he really be this stupid he won't be able to get rid of the wings that are on the bench even then because if a lockout happens they won't get exposure so know one will trade for them until they get significant playing time. Watch Sarver is going to have to include a draft pick to get rid of Childress what a dumb-ass!

Don't let activity equal accomplishment. Signing players and making trades for the sake of doing either is not good business. If the Suns had been a little more patient this past summer and not panicked or over reacted - would not be having to find trade partners for players like Hakim Warrick or Josh Childress and the Suns would have had a $15m TPE to use when teams are trying to offload salary

It might be time for patience and making well thought out decisions and not just fantasy basketball lets make some moves to look like we know what we are doing.

I would rather keep VC and not make a trade then make more dumb a** moves that constrict the salary cap and don't help the team.

Or any game in the Dallas series 06.

Or games 4 and 5 against the Spurs in 08.

Awesome retort dude. A single game from nearly 5 years and 40lbs ago for Diaw. It's 9M per for two more years for a lazy, unmotivated, 11/5/4, power forward in a fat two guard's body that shies from contact and continually goes up soft. The only way I would take Doris back is if we are getting the pick or if Childress is heading the other way. There will be a better market for VC's deal this offseason if we are willing to send out 3M to cover his team option.

I still remember watching game 1 of that series at a sports bar with a few hundred Suns fans. He hit that game winning shot over Stackhouse and we went ballistic.

Well, watch every Charlotte game against PHX since he's been traded there then.

Single game? Were you watching in 2006? I believe Diaw had something called a most improved player award that year. It was the whole season. I just picked a random game. Diaw was similarly excellent in the 08 Spurs seconds when D'antoni decided to make the offense go through him instead of Amare. He was also a big factor in Charlotte kicking our asses every time we've played them since the trade happened.

Hawks acquired Kirk Hinrich & Hilton Armstrong from the Wizards for Mike Bibby, Maurice Evans, Jordan Crawford and a draft pick.

Well you weren't talking about the entire '06 season in that post were you? I think some of you have awful memories. I'm not sure why you and others only remember his good play from that year. That was 5 years ago. I really really don't want this to happen. There is a reason we all rejoiced when he was moved to CHA.

You may have rejoiced.

I did the opposite of rejoicing.

08 was 3 years ago.

09 was 2 years ago.

10 was last year.

He's killed us for a season and a half now.
