David West in the off season?
Do you guys think David West would be a good pick up after the season? And if Lopez doesn't pan out with someone like West next to him we can pursue Dwight if the CBA allows.

I was actually thinking Jeff Green. Keep Hump he is a perfect fit. He runs the floor, is a rebounding machine, and plays tough D.
D-Will
Morrow
Green
Hump
Lopez
That should be a playoff team next year. Then look to add Dwight.

I'm down with David West. He won't clog the middle for Brook. A combo like that would work well with Deron I think.
I wonder if we still have any tricks left up our sleeve before the deadline.

West would be great next to Brook and with DWill running the show. If all things ($$$) are equal, I would take West over Green.
Walk away from this ASAP.

Depending on how much West costs I'd say I'd like him.

I'd prefer Green.
Either way, if they can't fit with another guy like D12, don't want him.

Green is restricted. We'd have to overpay for him. I would really look into West this offseason. But only if we were to move Farmar and Petro this offseason.

Re: David West in the off season?
We need to be careful we don't make any silly "Outlaw" type moves.
Any player we sign this off season or FA should still leave us enough cap room to bring in another max deal superstar (hopfully D 12).
I have no problems making moves to sign more players so long as it just doesn't take away our chances of signing Howard.
My opinion on West is he is just to old. I'd personally sign Chandler if he was available for a good price (which he won't be someone will overpay).
But long story short we just need to take a breath and not reach on a stupid deal, thats the thing worrying me right now that we go trade for Iggy or some other god awful over hyped and over paid player.
The Future's Bright....The Future's Brooklyn!!!!

Damn I had no idea West was already 30 years old. He'll be 31 by the start of next season. That definitely changes things. I wouldn't offer him a deal longer than 2-3 years at the most.

Do not want West. He strikes me as a player who is going to fall off quickly. Plus he's a supreme ass.

But he's an ass towards the opposing team!
Yeah, no interest in less by some miracle we can dump Tragic Outlawl for an expiring this deadline.
Nene = only FA worth spending some cap on.
Maybe :afflalolol: too. Or Vince on a really small deal.
Again, ANY signing must come with salary dumps this deadline or in the offseason though.
However unrealistic it may seem, must keep a huge chunk of cap space for Dwight.

If not for his age, West is perfect-fit for this team...

He's not a great rebounder so I vehemently disagree...

Re: David West in the off season?
^^ Yeah! Unless Brook learns to be aggressive... West would've spread the floor for him and minimize double teams...

Re: David West in the off season?
If we're looking at Dwight then we better find a way to lose Outlaw/Petro if we want to sign someone else and Dwight cause we are right around the 1 max limit and signing anybody would ruin that since I would like to keep Hump.
See E I told you Outlaw was the real problem. And NO to West I'd rather just keep Hump.
