I understand the move. This will only backfire if the pick is a top 3 pick.

Wait, so they want to win now and so they do that by trading away their most valuable trade chip and the point guard who has been facilitating their turnaround for a downgrade?

Exactly

Why, do the Clippers get to make the pick for them too?

If there's one team that knows how to build through the draft it's Cleveland

Edit: Wait. I'm losing it. Been up to long. I saw Cleveland and read Clippers.

But in all fairness has Cleveland drafted well besides Lebron since the Price/Daughtery days?

Yeah, Baron's much better than Mo Williams for the Clippers.

WTH a first round pick too?!?!?!?

I feel bad for Baron, always playing for terrible teams.

Haha, we all know its going to end up being a top 3 draft pick now just cause its the luck of the Clippers franchise.

This might be among the worst trades I have ever seen, just to spite Baron Davis, haha.

Although the unintentional comedic value of this trade will surely resonate across the NBA for years to come,

I'm pretty surprised by this. It seemed like Baron and Griffin had pretty good chemistry and were playing well together.

if you're not excited for the baron davis era to begin for a ten win team in cleveland, then you're not a fan of nba basketball

Lol, Poor Blake Griffin. That Clippers management will never get it right. He'll be bolting the 1st chance he gets.

The only thing that could top this is if Cleveland turned around and traded Baron for pure expirings or a TPE with no added incentive.

An unprotected first round draft picks trumps any of the players involved in this trade. Sterling continues to screw over his own team

Sterling's not attracted to Baron in the locker room anymore. Too many doughnuts. Jamario is a good looking specimen though...........

Clips source on giving up pick to Cavs: "That just shows you how much we hate this draft." Many GMs voting with their feet on this draft.

they do have a great point.
