Kobe on victory tonight in Portland: "Truly a playoff kind of test. ... Toughest win (of the season), for sure

Still room for improvement, but the Lakers of a month ago probably would have rolled over and quit when the Blazers went back up by 9 in the 4th.

+1, didn't watch the game but damn i'm happy they won. When ever lakers start losing a close game in the 4th they just give up and get blown out

If you don't have anything intelligent or knowledgeable to say, other than your 4th grade writing level, don't post here. Also, if you're going to complain about fouls, here's what some of your Blazer fans on your forum had to say:

48_7 wrote:You guys realize we shot about 15 more free-throws in this game than the Lakers prior to the fouling at the end of the game? The referees did not cost us the game. Missed shot after missed open shot cost us this basketball game. Nothing more. Kobe finished it and played an M. V. P. type of game. He deserved those chants tonight.

Voodoo wrote:Yeah, right, the refs... It wasn't the 200 three point shots that we missed when we were stuck at 87 points? Instead of going inside out which had been working all night, we continued to rely upon our horrible three point shooting and we shot ourselves out of the game. The refs were actually pretty good this game, they even T'd up Odom and didn't T up LMA when he threw the ball at Gasol at the end of the game in frustration.

Hateraide must taste so good! Lol! Neither team played smart down the stretch its just we have Kobe & thrives in those situations. If we dont establish our post players more we will struggle the reat of the season & playoffs because at times most of the other guys think they can turn into Kobe. Hell in fact some nights Kobe can't even turn into Kobe that's why we have to get back to establishing our inside out game. At one point even Kobe was 4-14.

Impressive finish...

In Portland vs. the bloodthirsty fans, and the shady refs, and the Blazers actually caring for one game a season, it was fn' THUNDERDOME last night. This is the most pumped I've been about a win all season.

I'm proud of these guys tonight. This is probably the only game where I truly felt that they TRIED, worked HARD, and played CHAMPIONSHIP-type game. This and the Boston game. Even Artest decided to show up. It feels like eternity since we last played this type of basketball.

Just read the blazers board for fun and so many of them are saying,"if this or that happened we would have won"

To be fair the Blazers lost that game more than the Lakers won it, just went ice cold down the stretch missing open 3's and open alley's. But I'm not gonna hate the Lakers played a great game and Kobe hit big shots down the stretch like he always does. Lakers won Blazers lost end of story.
