smh at not trading one of our bigs for lee...asik's not even going to get playing time(unless taj traded).

trade one of them for our damn starting sg that YOU and the coaching staff are high on. ridiculous

Not to the Bulls. We are in win-now mode and can't be playing developing players 30 seconds a night. It will ruin them just like it ruined Tyrus Thomas, James Johnson, etc.

What's the basis for your argument? That you think Asik is a star in the making? That he'll be an above average starter? An average starter? A capable backup?

I love Asik as much as the next and although there are holes in his game, I know he will improve and be a value and a good piece. But I don't think he has above averge starting potential, and I recognize hes at this moment and time our most valuable trade piece, and he could be used to fill the biggst glaring hole on the team.

On the other hand, to me Lee doesn't seem like the long term ideal answer at SG. Not sure that move wins us a championship. Also, Asik did a little too good of a job containing Howard in the last Orlando game, and has held some good centers in check this year. Maybe having that piece offsets the weakness at SG for this playoff run.

I just want to hear the justification.

The most interesting thing I get from all of this is team actually wanting Asik over Taj. If you want to bash the Bulls FO, bash them for not giving Taj Gibson, not Omer Asik.

I feel that the Brad Miller ship has sailed and we should let it float off into the distance, but yes, it is an exaggeration to claim his contract is "bad. or "terrible." It's pretty comparable to the deals we signed with our new free agents.

Calm down. Their GM said they are looking for three point shooting and a PF. There was a rumor a while ago they would want the package of Taj, Asik and the Cat's pick for Mayo. It's called negotiating. Let's not pretend Mayo holds some great value.

Taj+Korver+the Bulls 1st is a fair trade for a out of favor Mayo and their back up PF who is a worse player than Taj. And I myself am not a big Taj fan.
