Cool the Jets, Hold the Phones!!!

Post#1 » by RiversideClips » Thu Feb 24, 2011 4:54 pm

OK, so the Clips will get rid of Bdiddy, does it have to be to the Cavs? Since this trade is taking so long to finalize, do you think another team has stepped in?
I am just not a big Mo W fan and I think we are giving up way too much. I would rather give Denver Aminu, Bdiddy & the 1st and get Felton (who I do not like) and Gallo.
Is it to late for the Clips to change their mind?

The Clippers were turned down offering that pick for Gallo straight up.

So why the hell should they give us Felton as well, while taking on Baron's huge contract?

Aminu wouldn't be enough, as they're rebuilding/retooling and won't look to add contracts like the one of Davis.

only a suggestion to trade w/ Denver. I like Gallo.
Felton /Lawson = Denver still doesn't have a decent staring Pt. Guard.

I am trying to understand why we are not going after a 3?? Mo, is no better than Bdiddy & Moon????

We tried to go after Gallinari but were turned down by Denver.

There just aren't many sf available that would fit with Griffin and Gordon.

And making a trade just for the sake of trading isn't really helping your franchise.

Making a trade just for a trade doesn't make sense! That is why I am stunned w/ Moon & Williams, I don't get it. Is it purely a position & salary dump for 12" or do the Clips think Mo is better to run w/ Gordon?
To me, this seems like "just making a trade."

It saves us quite some money we'll need to extend Jordan, Gordon and Griffin, while still having financial flexitility.

Mo's also a better fit IMO, because when starting Griffin and Jordan you need at least two guys who can consistantly hit the open jumshots, which EJ and Mo are able to.

dumping Gomes could've saved us similar money ($4mil instead of $6.3mil) in 2012 free agency. they just didn't want Baron IMO, lost a top 10 draft pick

I don't really like the whole Bdiddy trade for the Clips. Don't make a move to simply make a move. He could have been moved in the summer imo.
