This makes OKC that much tougher... the best part is seeing Perkins in that OKC jersey.

Home court just became vital.

Thunder nearly went 7 games against us, we gotta lock up the 3 seed at least.

But I don't understand why Boston would do this besides the risk of losing Perkins in the off-season for 0 assets.

I really don't understand this trade. Did Boston just really like Jeff's last name or something? He's a horrible defender and bad rebounder...

WOW the Celtics straight dissed ole Perkins what mind blower dude almost bled green. I thought he was hurt though. You can't trade anyone whose hurt. Can you?

Yeah the Thunder are officially now the team that will run the West when the Lakers/Spurs move into rebuild mode.

In a way this trade if the Celtics can keep Green in the summer does set up a young core for the Celtics for the post big three era with Rondo, Green, and Davis. Also it does lighten their salary load since both guys they got have expiring deals.

this makes OKC better on D but they still lack a post presence offensively.....besides people want to gauge Porkins as this elite Post defender but fail to give KG credit, KG behind him helped hide alot of Porkins shortcomings, he is a brute but is slow footed I guess we do meet OKC it would depend on who guards who, if Porkins is put on Pau, use Bynum on the post against Ibaka and put Pau at the top of the lane, it will essentially render Porkin physicality useless.

The Celtics also traded Erdan and Harangody not major players but Erdan was 7 feet and started 7 games. Maybe Boston has secretly hired the Suns medical department and they think Shaq can get back to 2009 form.

Don't overlook the fact that OKC traded for Nazr Mohammed, too. They seem to be stacking up on big men. . .

+1 I do think Perk is a bit overrated, I expect his productivity to go down a bit, now that hes going to be the main man in the post alone. Still true centers like him are hard to find nowadays, and Jeff Green is not really a good fit for OKC so great trade for them.

No I read on espn that he had to hit the bench early during their last game and was going to sit out another. WOW maybe he was actually okay to play I guess.

Still they straight Dissed ole Perkins man just wow!

About Perkins being an elite defender any one remember the fact the he was on the celtics before KG and he wasn't elite until KG showed up. KG's mentality just rubbed off on everyone on the team.
