Recruit? Stars can't play for the Magic even if they wanted to.

Even Chris Paul put Orlando on his wish list last year and it never happened because it couldn't. We have nothing to trade those teams and no capspace to sign him outright.

LOL :lol: Not even the guy Otis was probably waiting for is coming to Orlando :D Murphy is going to Boston

@IraHeatBeat Ira Winderman
Celtics could not be making it any clearer that they have cleared a place for Troy Murphy. Not good news from Heat perspective.

@SherrodbCSN A. Sherrod Blakely
League source tells me that the #Celtics looking to add Troy Murphy and possibly another wing player.

@ChrisMannixSI Chris Mannix
Troy Murphy wanted to come to Boston before this. Now it seems highly likely he winds up there.

@BQRMagic Evan Dunlap
Per @ChrisMannixSI, it's "highly likely" Troy Murphy signs with Celtics once he's bought out.

Man..........this season has got me feeling really down.

For some reason, we're regressing, and our star's contract is up at a time where Franchise players are leaving left and right.....

Damn.

Otis put this team in cap hell by giving average players big contracts and trading for even bigger ones. We are efffed for a few years.

this reminds me of ebay, otis just lost out because he was waiting to bid, but then at the last second someone bids and steals the win.

Guys don't despair. Once Howard is gone, we can watch all of Jameer Nelson, Hedo, and Arenas all we want!

well otis won't care once he's fired @ the end of the season. And whoever comes in will have tons of crap to clean up ala john gabriel. Oh well...maybe arenas will return to all star form. And maybe bass will grow some and maybe the stars will align and i'll win the lotto. LOL

Wow. OKC got a lot better today. Boston....not so much. They got a scorer to come off the bench, but gave up their best big man defender.

The Mayo deal won't happen
@MikeWellsNBA Mike Wells
No deal between Pacers and Grizzlies. Deal was in place, but Grizzlies pulled out at the last minute, according to a source.

snuggles, I don't know why, but your optimism is pissing me off :wink:

Taken from our very own Jareth, which sums up how I feel very well:

Mark my words. If the Magic don't win a title THIS year, Otis Smith is gone. Arenas sealed his fate.

If things don't pan out this season/Arenas is still garbage, I fully expect Otis to be gone.

Return to Orlando Magic
