Yeah damn I just realized this roster is filled with complete crap.

Jameer, Gilbert, Turk, Duhon, QRich, Anderson, all suck MAJOR ass. No one in the world wants these players and their contracts. All of them immediately have their trade value go bomb once they become an Orlando Magic.

No one in this world wants to come to a team where you automatically put up career lows with these chuckers around you and Jameer f'n Nelson.

SO...we trade Richardson (clearly Charlotte was looking to clear cap space) for a guy who still has 2 years @ 10+Mil a year after this season left on his contract and is an average player at best?

Sorry. Gerald Wallace is NOT making this team that much better. And he's another number we have to clear in the future if anyone wants to attempt to get that #2 for Dwight.

Besides, who is to say Charlotte didn't want the picks.

LOL at the people thinking G-Force and Iggy aren't "upgrades"

Never said they weren't upgrades. You have to weight the cost-benefit analysis

Does he make our team better? Yes/No
What effect will his salary have on our cap? Not Bad/Even deeper into hell

Both those guys would be a yes one the first question and a deeper on the second. Again. Everyone bitches about wanting a #2. You trade for average guys like Wallace and Igoudala you're just making that even less of a reality.

The thing with not trading J. Rich is that leaves us with one less trade asset come time to upgrade. He HAS to be resigned now, no other options. If we don't, we have 14 mil less to trade somewhere else. We can't pick up FA cause we're way over the cap, even without J. Rich on the books.

We could've at least traded Jason Richardson. We could've easily got Gerald Wallace AND Nazr Mohammed which solves two needs.

THIS.

I didn't think there was a deal out there that we could have made to truly improve out team but there is no reason that Chrlotte would have said no to that offer and it improves us a ton...

I don't get that one...

EDIT:

Upon further review, I didn't realize they included TWO first round picks. Not something we could have matched. Still hurts though.

And leaves us with a giant hole at SG...

Charlotte cleared cap space and got 2 first rounders out of the deal...that's hard to top anyway.

J-Rich's expiring would have had some value, but we don't really have anything else to supplement it. We don't have a surplus of picks or prospects. Ryan's pretty much it, unless we could trick somebody into thinking Orton was any good.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I still make that trade without hesitation. With JJ/Q-rich and Arenas playing SG.

I dont care that we didnt get another "star", Im just pissed that there is a big hole behind Dwight Howard, which makes room for easy baskets.

Ohhhh wait I forgot we have Malik, never mind.

Ya because the bobcats were probably really enthusiastic about trading within the division.

What makes you think other teams want our garbage 3 pt shooters that play no defense..

Crying? I'm not crying, I'm worried. I never said our roster is garbage, I only said (about a hundred times) that we have holes that could've been filled with a trade.

I'm just imagining what goes on in Dwight's head right now, when a lot of teams are clearing space for him in 2012, and his own team can't even seem to get a small deal done?

Changes were needed. Either by trades or just changing the system/rotations. Second option is only one left. SVG has to do a good job getting everyone on the same page again

We made two huge trades in December...and not only that. Do you see ANYONE traded today that we could have grabbed with what we have?

AGREED

Gerald Wallace and Nazr obviously could have been had.

it is what it is. The biggest change that has to happen is that the svg system needs to conform to its players and not the other way around. Utilize what you have, minimize mistakes and take the ball out of the hands of players who make them. Game plan for each game, not just have the players rotate accordingly. Double down on scorers, play the passing lane, CUT to the hoop, STOP JACKING 3's.

That crap barely matters. The Arenas trade was within division. Bobcats asked about J-rich before too.

do you watch teams other than the Magic? this guys defends Pierce and Lebron better than anyone we have ever had. He is an all-star and 1st team all-defense.
