What is our lineup right now?

Post#1 » by dream_catcher_9 » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:13 pm

Since Perkins is out a couple weeks with a sprained mcl, what does it look like?

Westbrook/Maynor/Robinson/Ivey
Sefolosha/Harden/Cook
Durant
Ibaka/Collison
Mohommad/Aldrich

and once Perkins is healthy he replaces Aldrich?

That looks about right.

Except Perkins would start, so it'd be Perkins/Mohammed (when he gets back)

I think Harden will start now that even brooks will have to admit the starting lineup needs some more offense.

Yeah, Harden starting seems logical at this point. And I think Cook will continue to see good minutes. Thabo's minute's will dwindle.

We're looking at either harden being 3rd wheel on offense in the starting lineup or having no scoring off the bench. Let's hope ibaka has some offense. If not Westbrook/durant will have even more shots.

Does presti believes we can contend now? He made a move for 3 players with finals experience.
I'm not sure how Nate fits though. Surprised he didn't swing nate for some other pieces

Is Perk really going to be out couple of weeks???
I highly doubt that! I think he should be good to go against the Lakers on sunday.

Against Orlando, I hope to see 20 mins from Aldrich.

Ibaka / Collison
Durant / Sefolosha
Harden / Cook / Nate
Westbrook / Maynor / Ivey

Contenders.

The only thing that could have been better if we had swing nate for someone else. maybe get tony allen from memphis instead. that guy constantly kill us on offence (not vs other teams though) and he'll be a nice defensive stopper to have next to thabo.

There's a good chance that Sefolosha remains in the starting lineup. He has value in the starting line up as a designated defender. That value is diminished off the bench. Brooks has played Harden more minutes off the bench and Harden has responded with solid play. If first quarter offense is an issue Brooks can get Harden in earlier. I still think Harden gets a lot of Green's shots.

Brooks has to set his playoff rotation in the last part of the regular season and I think he wants to have Sefolosha to throw against Bryant and Ginobili.

All signs point to Ibaka getting the starting opportunity with Collison as the veteran back up. I like Ibaka alongside Perkins because he has range offensively. Ibaka could have more opportunity to show his weak side shot blocking alongside Perkins solid position defense.

Mullens might be the 5th forward/center due to his size and superior range to Aldrich.

Robinson doesn't seem to have a place in the rotation, but having explosive guards come playoff time is a good thing.

I still wonder how nate will be used or was he just a throwin to get perkins. Nate could be the offensive spark off of the bench that harden provided because Thabo is just so limited and if he isn't starting, there is little value for him. I thnk that the person that benefits the most from this trade is Cook. Cook has shown that he still has the touch from 3 and he just wasn't getting enough minutes because of green playing backup SF.

THANK GOD I DON'T HAVETO SEE GREEN GET BODIED DOWN LOW ANYMORE OR SHOOT 25% FROM 3!!! I think that the screen and rolls will be more effective because perkins sets great screen and Ibaka can either roll or pop. Green and Kristic were strickly pop guys. I think that the thunder have added the toughness that they lacked with Green and Kristic down low.

I think that Nate will get the minutes that Cook was getting 10 to 12 minutes for instant offense. Mohammed will be the backup to Perkins and Cook will see steady minutes as durants backup

Mullens/Aldrich will get rotation into the Dleague both are only in the 2nd assignment i believe.

I hope thabo only starts against the premier scorer at SG/SF. We would be better off starting harden and then resting either westbrook/durant OR harden early say somewhere in the 7th minute. That way the opponent premier wing player should still be on court.

Westbrook/thabo/Durant
Westbrook/Cook/Durant <-- If their scorer is on the bench
Maynor/Harden/Thabo

Looks good to me. I'd like to see Aldrich back up Perkins but I'm not too picky.

And with this line up shuffle it's the perfect time to start Harden.

westbrook
harden
durant
ibaka
perkins

offensive lineup

i think you start harden because with green out, it puts more pressure on durant and westbrook to carry the offense. and you dont want them carrying that burden. nate can replace the offense you lose with westbrook off the bench. or if you wanna go defense, you put thabo at the 2. plus nazi, maynor and collison can give you some scoring. if you start thabo at the 2, then you start perk with collison.
