Contingent on the CHI / BOS deal being approved:

Boston and Dallas have agreed to a deal

Boston will trade
Stephen Jackson $8,453,250

Dallas will trade
Jason Terry $9,873,000

We know the fans in Dallas love the heart that JET plays with, but we want a bigger wing player that actually plays some D. We think that Roddy can play the spark plug 6th man role and want to upgrade our starting wing postions, Capt Jack fixes half that problem.

Boston on AIM asked me to accept this trade. He is suspended until saturday but does not want to dely the trade to hinder the game. Thanks.

ATL and DEN have a trade to announce.

ATL outgoing:
Antawn Jamison $13,358,905
Nate Robinson $4,200,000

DEN outgoing:
Hedo Turkoglu $10,215,850
Carlos Delfino $3,500,000
Andre Miller $7,269,264

We add our starting SF in Hedo, a great passer (5.3 APG) and rebounder (4.7). His 3 point shooting is a necessity with Rondo at PG and his size gives us a pretty big wing combo. Miller is a having a great year and Delfino is a decent bench player.

To PHI: J.R. Smith ($6,757,851)
Semih Erden ($473,604)

Total: $7,231,455 * 1.25 = $9,039,318

To BOS: Brandon Bass ($4,000,000)
Louis Williams ($5,000,000)

PHI accepts. its tough to lose both bass and williams in one deal, but it paid off. Smith is a great young SG, and erden gives us more depth at C.

ATL and BOS have a trade to announce.

ATL outgoing:
Steve Nash $10,310,938
Ron Artest $6,322,320

BOS outgoing:
Rajon Rondo $9,090,909
Jermaine O'Neal $5,765,000
Nate Robinson $4,200,000

We get a PG who gives us elite defense (2.3 steals) and play-making (12.3 APG). Rondo isn't to much of a drop off from Nash but he's much younger and is locked into a great contract. His fit beside JJ is great and although we lose Artest we think we can add another SF through FA.

Boston has confirmed acceptance of this deal. He is thrilled to be getting the offense weapon at PG, to replace Pierce's scoring

The Portland Trailblazers, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics have agreed upon a deal.

The Suns send Baron Davis ($13,000,000) and PHX 2012 1st in exchange for Jason Terry ($9,873,000), 2012 CHI 1st, 2012, BOS 1st, 2011 BOS 2nd and 2012 BOS 2nd.

*Works as Phoenix takes less than they are outgoing.

The Blazers send nothing in exchange for Josh Powell ($854,389)

*Works as it's a minimum contract

The Celtics send Josh Powell ($854,389) and Jason Terry ($9,873,000) in exchange for Baron Davis ($13,000,000) and PHX 2012 1st.

Celtics Incoming: $13,000,000
Celtics Outgoing: $10,727,389 X 1.25 = $13,409,236

Suns accept. Baron was not in our future plans, we shave a year off the deal, and while we hate to lose our future pick, we get a couple other later ones to compensate.

Accept.

Always had a soft spot for Powell and he's actually a quality guy to throw in a game for about 10 minutes.
For nothing more then price of his minimum deal we'll take it.

#88 & #89

The Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves have a three-part blockbuster to announce.

Part One:

Houston Rockets Receive:
C Greg Oden ($6,760,524)
2012 1st Round Pick (via Denver, top 3 protected)
Total: $6,760,524

Minnesota Timberwolves Receive:
PG Ty Lawson ($1,546,560)
PF Solomon Jones ($1,500,000)
PF Jordan Hill ($2,669,520)
Total: $5,716,080

5,716,080 x 1.25 + .1 = 7,245,100

Part Two:

The Houston Rockets acquire PG Eric Maynor ($1,417,800) for the Carl Landry exception ($1,647,360). The Rockets waive their right to the (230k) left on the TPE.

Part Three:
The Houston Rockets acquire SF Earl Clark ($1,898,760) for the David Anderson exception ($2,500,000).

Rockets accept.

It was tough parting ways with both Ty Lawson and Jordan Hill in the same deal, but the chance to acquire a franchise center is just too much to pass up on even if Greg Oden is a significant health risk. I'd like to be thought of as a ballsy GM, so here's my big risk.

Timberwolves accept. We are happy to add Lawson to help solidify the point guard spot, and compete with Rubio next season. Losing Oden is rough because of his potential to be a franchise guy, but we were shuddered at the idea of him getting a huge offer this free agency, we also really like Jordan Hill's potential.
