Looking to start a regular roster sim league, anyone interested post here.
We have had some success with the fantasy league The Corporation, we had hoped to make this league the Corporation 2, but it would not fit so instead it is known as Whack Woah
Platform--PlayStation 3
-Difficulty: Hall of Fame
-# of Teams: 30
-Playoff Teams-16
-Season Length: 30 games (play every team once)
-Quarter Length: 6 Minutes
-Flex Schedule: On
-Draft: On
-Trading: On
-Playoff Rounds-1-3-5-7
-Sliders: Sim Sliders (I've been criticised in the past for not playing "SIM" this league will most definetly be SIM.
RULES (PLEASE FOLLOW THESE)
Gameplay
Double Teams and Steals
* Do NOT abuse double-teams.
* DO NOT SWIPE FOR STEALS LIKE A MADMAN or we will drop steal sliders down to where you don't get any more.
Lock-on D
* You may not push the ballhandler into the back court when he's bringing it past the half line. If this happens you must give the ball back.
* You cannot lock on while the other team is bringing the ball up court until after the ball-handler has started moving up toward the 3pt line.
Fast Breaking
* The NBA average in FB points is about 12 per game. The top team averages around 20 per game. If you average much more than that per game, it’s not realistic.
* If you need an exact answer of when it is OK to fast break:
* After steals
* After blocks
* After long rebounds
* Some normal missed baskets
* If your opponent has nobody back because they are all crashing the boards, then by all means PUSH IT.
Three Pointers
* New York and Orlando shot the most threes a game this season at 26-27 attempts.
* DO NOT AVERAGE more than 30 three point attempts PER GAME. This means a few games above are okay.
* If your shooters are being left open(IE: a zone), you are allowed to take as many as you want in that game.
Points In The Paint
* This rule is: 50-60% of points in the paint MAX. To get this total you subtract fast break and second chance points from your total PIP displayed for your final total. This is hard to break so don't try.
Running Plays
* This has to be done, not on every possession, but is a required part of the game, by this we don't mean just the usual Pick n Roll or Isolation plays, you got 5 guys to use, they all got a number of different plays, utilize this!
Full Court Press
* Pressuring with a guard in the backcourt occasionally is acceptable.
* Full Court Press should not be seen more than a few times per game, mainly at the end of a game or quarter when a turnover is needed.
* Remember, do not push someone over the backcourt line.
Man Defense
* You must play on-ball D most of the time. There are times when it is okay to switch off but if you are caught in video of cheating, you will be given a strike.
Zone Defense
* You many not run zones more than 1/2 of the game.
* You should be controlling the defender closest to the ball most of the time.
* THERE IS NO PAINT CAMPING ALLOWED!!! The only time you should control your center is when the opposing team has the ball around the basket.
Loss of Connection
If during a game, you or your opponent's connection is lost at any time due to a "Network Error" before the end of the game, then the following rules apply:
* If one of the teams is ahead of the other by 10 or more points in the 4th quarter, then the game is OFFICIAL and will be counted as a win for the winning team.
* If the game is within 9 points in the 4th quarter, please contact a commish ASAP and the game will simply be re-played.
* If there is a true disconnect after halftime by the losing team, the game is counted as official unless both parties agree to re-play. If the winning team disconnects, the game will be replayed.
* If a player needs to leave the game, eg, has to have dinner or something like this, and they contact the other player and let them kno, before the end of the 3rd the game may be quit and reset, unless its a 15+ differential in the 3rd then the game will count!
BE ACTIVE AND PLAY YOUR GAMES!
This league will be using current rosters after the trade deadline, and the kings are available!

Man, you have some weird rules bro, no zones? Are you allowed to play defense a least?
This is why the have the 3 seconds in the key rule.

just re-read the rules, that rule is pretty crummy actually, dis-regard the zone defense rule lol thanks for pointing that out!

Would be interested if it weren't for school. I haven't played online a whole lot, but how exactly do you join a league? And how often do you have to play each week?

u join in game modes, online league and either have an invite or search for a league.
activeness is required, we look for a minimum of 3-5 games per week!

Re: PS3 Online League
I must admit, it does seem like way too many rules to have to constantly think about during the course of the game. I don't wanna have to keep a count of every single shot I take from each part of the court to make sure I don't go over some unwritten "limit" of alleged realism. You can't really play your own style of game.
