Griffin for Dwight Howard

Post#1 » by BillTheGOAT » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:06 pm

Hi just want to ask a question here, like the title says..would you consider doing a trade for Dwight if they came and asked ?
I don't need to explain why i'm asking...you know, i'm not an orlando fan just wondering if you would do this ?

No.

If Dwight wanted to come to the Clippers it would be to play with Griffin, not to be traded for him. I'm not saying that Blake is more valuable or a better player than Howard at this point, but it wouldn't make sense to trade him. A few weeks ago, Jerry West said that there is not a player in the league that he would trade Blake for. If anybody wants to call us crazy, you can call him crazy too.

I think MK says it best. Players will be wanting, did I say that? FA will want to come & play w/ a healthy Blake b/c of the opportunity to shine in L.A. & win a Championship. Dwight is great, but I would rather build a team around Blake.

Howard is obviously the better player, even with Blake's high potential I would do this trade if they had similar contracts. Howard can easily walk in a year..

Defensively he is without question... But, as an outside observer, I think it's pretty obvious that Mr. Griffin has the disposition, drive and talents to be a far superior player than Howard....

Howard is a 7 year vet and his offensive game has expanded very little... Some jump hooks in the paint, the occasional bank shot etc...

Blake is nowhere close to having a refined offensive game, yet is light years ahead of Dwight.... You get some tough defensive minded players there in LA turn that culture around a bit, and I'm sure Blake's defense improves by leaps and bounds....

I'll take Blake any day over Howard...

that's underselling on dwight's O

just because he doesn't have variety doesn't mean he's not a beast

everybody knows exactly what he's gonna do when he gets the ball, and he still gets 23 a night on epic percentages. that's with like 10 blowouts where he sat the 4th out.

I wouldn't trade blake for dwight either. Putting differences between their skills etc, blake is our guy dwight is yours. This isn't a fantasy league, and we wouldn't want to trade him for any reason. I can see why you guys might want to trade dwight with the trade rumors popping up, etc (god i hope we don't have go through that too in the future lol) but until that happens, blake is nigh untouchable.

Now, if it was fantasy league.... yea i'd probably make the trade... but i'd feel bad about it at the same time.
