NOT only was it Williams, it was Sloan I told everyone on Jazzfanz that AK would play real well now after Sloan and Williams were gone.

Re: Utah Jazz (32-27) @ Detroit Pistons (21-39)
my two cents
- Without Williams, suddenly everybody feel themselves more important part of the team. In offense it was a pretty good effort and Jeff, Sap, AK get their A game.
- Great job dishing the ball.
- Favors has to work, but he is scoring and show tons of potential... I think he'll be allstar soon.
- Harris is not Williams, but if he is in 14-18 ppg and 7.5 - 9 apg range and others players improve their game as they are doing, i'm glad with him.
- Our defense was a joke... It should be something in the system. Players like Boozer and Korver who were a liability are playing in one of the best defense in the league... We are playing without Memo too... Some Jazz players have a great defense reputation like AK or Bell and still we can defense a team like detroit?? c'mon!
- Rebounds! Pistons were killing us with their offensive rebounds. It should stop. Favors have a big body, i hope him to improve our defensive rebounds.
- FT. Man, we missed like 1000 FT yesterday... another reason to lose.
- Hayward and Miles should play more. Price it's not the future, he is not a pg, and he is not a SG. No reason to give him PT and stopping to play those two.

I think if you ask any Bulls fan they'll tell you their defense is great in spite of Boozer and while Korver has had that reputation of being bad defensively he was always a guy who gave a lot of effort on both sides of the court. I do agree though the defensive problems have to be dealt with and I wish the Jazz would bring in a defensive minded assistant like the Celtics had with Thibodeau.

No doubt Favors is playing great and devin is playing solid as well, we keep this kind of play up and we are a playoff roster.
We lost due to pooring rebounding (Al, and paul) thats it, defense wasnt good but when you are giving up double digit Off. rebs that put a lot of pressure on guys defensively, wears them down.

I like this team - it's too bad we lost.
AK played well... the only shots he missed were those jumpers. NEVER EVER TAKE JUMPERS AK!! Why does this guy have a Reggie Miller complex?? Also he had several lazy, lazy passes, sometimes it looks like he's indifferent out there.
I like what i see from Favors. Its not like this kid is 23 or anything - he's 19!! He is definitely impacting the game positively.
Can't believe Millsap didn't get that call after getting raked down the face in crunch time.

I think Korver's reputation as being the worst defender in the league is unfair. He's not absolutely atrocious or anything, in my view. He works very hard, but has obvious athletic limitations.

I hate to say it, but I think Millsap is starting to flop a fair amount. There was one play in the Indiana game (I think) where a guy swiped at the ball after Millsap grabbed the defensive rebound, and Millsap reacted like he got punched in the face: he threw is head back and then looked at the ref with that pained expression he often gets, holding his hand to his head and periodically checking it for blood.
He comes away from plays holding his head a lot and I'm starting to think that it's an act.

^Is Gordon Hayward seriously the only Jazz first round pick still on the team?
