I can see a lot of Ariza potential in him....would love to have him but with artest, barnes, walton, ebanks there is no spot for him here.

There's a very good chance Matt Barnes might not re-up with is if some other team throws the full MLE at him (Heat, Knicks) so getting him would be a good insurance and let him fight for minutes against Ebanks.

I think Matt is going to play more of the 2 guard once he’s back with small minutes at the 3 (most likely in favor of Walton)

With the Heat or Celtics adding Bibby to their roster, Lakers should strongly consider signing Brewer. Always been a big fan of him. Was the clog on the Florida Gators back to back 'ships

I don't mind bringing in Brewer because he be able to defend some of the guards we have problems with.

What's the intel on him, a lot of people seem to think he isn't that great, but from what I've seen he looks worth the risk, I want to know what type of effort he puts in game and out of. He could be Barnes/Ariza possibly?

even if we pickup Brewer now you still have to reup him this off-season and he'll want to get paid just like Barnes would so why would he come here?

don't really see a spot for him, he's just not good enough to warrant keeping guys like barnes or brown on the bench.

Played in the triangle in Minnesota for a season so we can assume he knows the system or could learn quickly, poor offense but it's still a bit better than Ariza's offense when we acquired him, he has shown flashes of solid shooting but his mechanics are pretty poor, comparable athleticism to Ariza(If you saw his dunk over Fisher you know this). Good defender, lacks the strength to guard bigger small forwards such as Melo and Lebron effectively but he has the speed and length to probably be our best option defending quick PG's. Not a really high b-ball IQ guy but he's not an idiot either, having vets like Fisher and Bryant to mentor him should really allow him to improve quickly here.

He would be a fantastic pickup for this team.

Artest has played more minutes in the triangle, and he's the first to admit that he doesn't get it. I wouldn't make assumptions when it comes to players learning systems.

I definitely like C Brewer's game. But not sure he would ever see the court because he plays the 2 and 3. Kobe, Artest, Barnes, Brown, and Walton play either the 2 or 3.

I just went from six to midnight! Put me in the Brewer's fan club. More young, athletic defenders who bring alot of energy can never hurt to add to the team.

"Corey did a great job for us in practice and in games with his effort and his passion and how hard he played all the time," he said. "Everybody on the team loved him. We liked his enthusiasm for the game. I personally still think he's growing as a player. He's only going to get better. He's going to be missed."

Not really because Brewer would take our last roster spot, and if Theo doesn't come back, and we don't sign a big then Walton have to be prepard to play some at the 4.
