nope, that's the problem. OKC's front court matches up really well defensively but badly offensively. Harden and Westbrook do match up really well against the lakers though. Durant will score because he's the best in the league at it, but artest is by far the best defender against him.

The lakers/thunder matchup is probably the most interesting matchup in the league.

gasol/bynum is matched up by ibaka/perkins
Durant is matched up by Artest
Kobe is matched up by sefolosha/harden (i'm surprised he was the impressive against kobe)
**** Ron Artest
**** Marco Belinelli
Stephen Jackson aint bout dis lyfe
Patrick Beverly deserves to have his knee ripped to pieces

We barely made it out alive with the Thunder playing short handed, just imagine how much of a tough out they'll be when they have a healthy Perkins to battle Gasol. Oh and Kobe getting no calls was bewildering to say the least. Ugly win, but a win I'll take.

Perkins would take away lots of Ibaka's minutes, who got 13 rebounds and a ton of blocks. perkins will be going up against bynum. It will be an improvement for them definitely, but ibaka's criminally underrated.

Ibaka plays PF, Perkins plays C. The Ibaka/Perkins interior will be one of the best matchups against your interior defensively in the league

They wouldn't take minutes away from each other.

I hope we see you guys in the conference finals

Ah, with both of those in the lineup it would match up quite well with us defensively. For some reason I was thinking Ibaka spends a lot of playing time at the 5 against us, but you know your own team best

bynum have no athleticism. he can't catch the lob pass and finish fast enough...

Do you even watch the Lakers? That's one of Kobe and Drew's specialties.

Just missed this post during the game. Yes, I do watch the games. I was not talking about alley-oops off the PnR. Dcash4 said we need to do a better job of making them pay for "fronting drew". read again...

Drew was getting fronted in the low post and I was talking about the lobby pass that needs to be high enough for him to catch it safely, so that gives the defense plenty of time to react. The weakside defenders usually collapse on him and forces a turnover/blocked shot. Gasol finishes well there(or make the assist), but not bynum. So he can't let people front him. If he wants the ball in the low post he needs to establish his position first.

When smaller/weaker centers are guarding Bynum they front him with the intention of trapping. Lakers coaches know this, that's why our players almost never make the lobby pass when he's in the low post. That's why Brown keeps jacking up shots and making you people more angry and still his minutes are increasing game after game. If Bynum doesn't do his part (seal the low post) he cannot be fed...

When they are fronting him with intentions to trap (and not only due to a mismatch generated in the transition) He usually catches the ball behind the backboard and either travels, gets blocked. The best scenario is when pass the ball back with few seconds left on the shot clock...

PS: I'm one of the Bynum lovers. In fact, gasol and Odom finishing every game drives me crazy... I'm just explaining why sometimes even our "scrubs" are taking long jumpers instead of "feeding the bigman".

Don't know if i agree with your entire post but one thing that i don't think can be disputed is what dcash said, we need to make them pay. I don't think we have a guard on this team that knows how to make that pass correctly so we can see what Drew can or cannot do in those situations. One things for sure, his passing has greatly improved & he's recognizing the double teams faster & making the correct choices most times.

Lately I"ve seen bynum do a no look pass here and there. that's completely new to his game this season

Yeah I think its clearly noticeable that this season he is an improved passer. He used to be slow when it came to passing out of the post but lately he has been quick to make his decisions. Its good to see him continue to develop his game.
