Bibby isn't a true point guard, so Wade and Lebron will still dominate the ball, and Bibby will get exposed on defense worse than House and Chalmers do. The additional 3 point shooting obviously helps, but it isn't like Miami has a shortage of 3 point specialists.
They are missing consistent 3 point shooters. House is extremely streaky and Miller hasn't been healthy long enough to be helpful. Chalmers is shooting 34% from three while Bibby puts up 44% so far this season. And once again, the discrepancy that people think Bibby will hurt our defense because he is worse than what the Heat have at PG is less than people think. You're essentially keeping the terrible defense at that position the same but you are just improving the 3pt shooting, which is a dire need at that position and someone who won't commit stupid turnovers and Bibby can spot up when Wade and LeBron handle the ball.
Don't get it wrong, he will hurt your defense but unlike Atlanta, you guys drive to the basket and aren't a bunch of jump-shooters who occasionally do work in the low post. Hinrich>>>>Bibby and it's not even close. But Bibby would be a good backup PG for us, just not a starter but for you guys, he's an instant starter.
