Playoff picture just changed for Spurs

Tony Parker is going to be out for 4 weeks with a calf injury. That's going to hurt the Spurs. He'll only have 6 or 7 games to get ready for the playoffs, if it only takes him 4 weeks to get back.

2-4 weeks..he could come back sooner then 4 weeks. It wont affect them that much. They have a heck of a deep team.

Dallas is the only real threat to catch them and I'm not sure even without parker that they might still be better then Dallas.

Yeah, I agree Parker's injury may not cost them much in terms of the regular season. If the injury takes the full four weeks to heal, then it could impact them in the playoffs. Injuries this late in the season are tricky.

SA needs Parker to be 100% in the playoffs. The playoffs are much different than the regular season and when SA hits some of the better teams in round 2 and 3, things will get tough. Age will become a factor also.

I wonder if Deron's wrist injury will hurt the Nets in the playoffs---it's hard for a guy to work a video game controller with a sore wrist.

He'll probably be playing as the Clippers, so the Nets should be fine.

The Spurs just plug in the next guy and keep going. George Hill will look like an A.S. the next 4 weeks. Thats why theyre the Spurs and we are the Jazz.

Yea I don't think this will hurt the Spurs that much, maybe they'll lose a game or 2 that they wouldn't have otherwise lost but its not a massive downgrade from Parker to Hill and Ginobili does a lot of the ball handling anyway.

Return to Utah Jazz
