really dumb of Charlotte, someone explain this to me....why would they waive him? Cheap and legit upside and they just give him away?

lol

Maybe our team will "stupid" their way into a good move by claiming Azubuike to spite NYK for doing this.

Reports seem to say Az just isn't healthy enough to play at a high level

Can anybody tell me what type of player this guy is? I see that the knicks signed him. Raymond Felton recommended him, and D'antoni kind of likes him. I don't know anything about him though. Never heard of him.

Is he a small forward? Power forward? defensive stopper? Shooter? slasher? Knicks really need size interior defense and rebounding. Can he provide solid minutes at the center position?

Also about Azubuike. He was supposed to be avalable by pre season, but he's been injured all year. He recently said that he is 80% back, d'antoni said that he is getting close, and he does seem to be improved from reports but i don't think that it's likely that he'll be back this year

He is all of those things. The guy can run the pick and roll like a point guard, back down bigs in the paint for the easy 2. Doesn't have much of a vertical though, but he has cat like reflexes and a killer 3 ball.

 You don't want Azu. He couldn't get back into playing form with the Warrior or NY. If he does manage to hit the court next Year, he'll be at best 70% of what he was.

His lateral movement is now MUCH slower, and his shot may not be what it used to be without proper elevation.

3/4 tweener with lots of athleticism and a good finisher around the rim. Can offensive board. Some promise as a mid range shooter. Can't really guard 3 or 4s at this point, needs to fill out and get on the block

So he's like a poor mans Jeff Green with more athleticism and can rebound better?

mikecranston1 #Bobcats are "looking" now to sign a player with Derrick Brown headed to NY. Have 1 open spot since Sean Marks remains on roster.

We haven't seen a ton of him but yes Jeff Green is the comparable that comes to mind for me. Not sure if he's a better rebounder or not though...hes a better offensive rebounder for sure, defensive rebounding edge goes to JG most likely. They've have roughly the same TS% as Brown gets a lot of dunks and easy ones near the rim...given the playing time

No not really. He has a GOOD midrange jumper, little to no 3pt range. Great vertical. At least 35 inches. Extremely strong. Lives above the rim any chance he can get. Good offensive rebounder. Dissappointing handles for his athleticism.

He's got the strength of a 5 with the quicks of a 3.

He wasn't getting much PT under Silaas anyway. Had to figure he'd go somewhere else where he thought he might get more burn.

I was going to say the same thing. Considering Green is a better shooter, has better handles, is stronger and is smarter, I would say he is nothing like Green!

in all seriousness UPS is useless out side of dunking....he is not that great a shooter and cant create his own shot but is a hustler......bottom line he is a end of the bench type guy
