While I think shooting is the weakest part of his game, I also think that shooting is the easiest part to fix/improve. Gives me a lot of hope for him.

Who gives a sh** if he's the best shooter on the team. He's 10 times better and has a much brighter future than Price. Ronnie needs to stay on the bench unless two players get taken out in a gun fight.
With playing time Hayward will be a much better player than Ronnie ever was, or could be. If that isn't clear by now then your eyes need a check up. Locke speaks all of the time about the struggles all rookies go through with their shooting %. Kobe, Labron, Wade, EVERYONE else that is a rookie and has talent gets much better with playing time. It may take a half a season or maybe a full season. But this is what will speed Hayward development up. Play him all that he can handle. He will be a better than average NBA starter with in a yr or two. That is very obvious.

No. I disagree and will espouse the opposing opinion as I desire. Considering he's averaging less than 3 FG per game, I'm not too worried about being proven wrong in the long-term. And anyway, you said CJ was tearing the league up and had "finally arrived" when he was shooting 41% and jacking up garbage earlier this year, and have called Ronnie Price a good shooter.

Re: Desparate times call for desparate measures
Well, I was wrong about Price. I'll admit it. I remember him hitting some nice clutch shots, and that affected my judgement.
On CJ, I thought he was the reason we were winning so many games. And now, I think his poor play is the reason we're losing so many. I have no intention of backing off that assessment.
And on Hayward, he's about as bad of a shooter this year as Price, looking at eFG%.
Will you be proven wrong in the long term? I don't think I ever said anything about the long term other than, "I also think that shooting is the easiest part to fix/improve. Gives me a lot of hope for him." So, I'm not sure we're in opposite camps there. So, good luck with that one.

We need a consistent shooter.
This might sound wrong but i wish Hayward would act a little more like Miles. He needs to have more confidence in his shot. He could be wide open and he will pass it to someone else who is wide open. He wont spread the floor until he shows his willingness to shoot.
With that said, starting Hayward is our best bet. Bell sucks, CJ has a MJ mentality with none of the skill, and Price doesnt know what IQ means.

I'm all for Price and Bell to not see more than 10 minutes combined out on the floor. Frankly, CJ is getting there too. But I guess you have to play one of the three some minutes.

Re: Desparate times call for desparate measures
While I agree that Haywards' overall shooting has been poor, there is no denying that his shot has drastically improved over the last month or so. And who cares if he can't shoot? It's not like Raja or Miles are making any shots anyways.
I feel like Hayward not only deserves the starting job but that we need to start him to continue his development and to make any sort of playoff push.
I feel like Hayward brings us more length, solid defense and rebounding. All of which we need.
