You do remember that he has already appeared in some games this year, right?

And did he look out of shape?

He didn't to me, he looked the same way he always looked...... He's never been in what you can call great shape, he always looks like he's a little overweight..... That's nothing new with Memo......

Why do you think he's out of shape?

Because he can't do any good cardio due to the terrible achilles rupture. It could be a year or more before he's comfortable cutting or planting hard on that heel. Its not like Memo is 23. He's getting older and this is an injury that is very hard to come back from. I wont even touch on the back issues.

I love Memo...but I think he's done. I hope I am wrong.

He looked like he could hardly run. Probably more due to the heel than to his cardio conditioning level, but the result is the same....

It may be the fact that the bike and practice can't prepare you for game speed and shape. Only playing in games, at game speed gets you there. Even though he never was the fastest guy which could add to the look of being out of shape.

I hope you're right. However, I'm glad that Memo only has one year left on his contract. I think the most likely scenario for the Jazz and Memo would be a trade sometime next season. If he comes back healthy and tearing it up, then he'll finish the season with the Jazz. If he comes back worse than ever, or is only able to contribute limited minutes, he will still hold good trade value as an expiring contact, as well as someone who can offer playoff/championship experience to a contender.

P.S. Red, I really appreciate that you end every sentence with five periods. It really makes is easy to tell when you have completed your thought. Thank you.
